The salted deep fried peanuts arrived first (and by default). They were not oily, and the salt was not overpowering, so I actually had quite a few by the end of the meal. Two dishes were ordered: The fermented tofu greens and the lamb stew. The lamb stew arrived after a small gas burner was set up for it. It was allowed to remain cooking throughout the meal. The taste was quite nice, and the fermented tofu dipping sauce had a bit of spicy bite to it which was most refreshing to the palette. The

The salted deep fried peanuts arrived first (and by default). They were not oily, and the salt was not overpowering, so I actually had quite a few by the end of the meal.

Two dishes were ordered: The fermented tofu greens and the lamb stew.

The lamb stew arrived after a small gas burner was set up for it. It was allowed to remain cooking throughout the meal. The taste was quite nice, and the fermented tofu dipping sauce had a bit of spicy bite to it which was most refreshing to the palette. The stew contained pieces of lamb (including bones), tofu 'layers', water chestnuts, winter melon slices, and some other bits. It was actually more substantial a meal than I had expected.

The fermented tofu with greens was also quite nice. The spiciness of the sauce again complimented that of the greens and this dish was also finished off in short order.

It may also be interesting to note that the tofu with greens dish arrived substantially after the lab arrived. I had begun to wonder if the servers had forgotten it. But, in retrospect, it may have been to give us more time to finish the stew.

题外话/补充资料: Still great memories over the spicy fermented tofu sauce! It was well done. However: What I did not appreciate were certain elements of the ambiance: Even though dining inside the restaurant, seems as if most of the other patrons started smoking :huffy::huffy::huffy::(:huffy: sometime into the meal. Of course, because the smoking wardens generally do not work beyond 2200 (2100h?) they could do it with impunity. But it really detracted from the enjoyment of the meal as the aromas were overpowered by the 'local pollution'. As a result demerits were accrued for both hygiene and environment. (It is inexcusable and frustrating to me that some inconsiderate groups were allowed to adversely affect my dining for a couple of hours - completely unchallenged.)
