I of course ordered something spicy - forgot what it was called, something numbing-spicy beef, with the QQ al-dante and since I dread eating alone, I decided to have it take away so I could eat at home watching TV, at 1 dollar extra for packaging the food. I sat at the door next to a pile of kitchen supplies and felt really at home.
I was called up to collect the food with two apologetic faces because the lids to the noodle bow was used up. At this stage I know I don't have much of a choice but to let them be creative and let them pack my food whichever way they could. So I said it's fine with a smile, slightly disappointed that my first dining experience here isn't perfect in addition to the fact that I'm eating alone. However I was gladly surprised that they added an additional egg to my noodle when I came back.
The soup was clear and flavorful, beef well-spiced and effortlessly chewy, loved the pieces of scallion at the surface of the soup. However the noodle is a bit of a letdown since it's not as al-dante as advertised, and are easily broken, with a rather heavy floury taste. I'll probably try the other more Vermicelli-like noodle next time. And that's to say yes I think it is worth visiting again.
