I have dined here over a number of occasions and is one of my choices of places to eat when I am by myself and the fact that they do a pretty darn good selection of roast meats -as the name suggests.The setting is typical Cha Chaan Teng (Chinese Tea Room), closely packed hard top tables which are wiped as soon as the last patron backs his chair to vacate after finishing and the menu is diverse. The menu has the usual CCT fare i.e. sandwiches, baked pork chop rice and instant ramen with bits. W

The menu has the usual CCT fare i.e. sandwiches, baked pork chop rice and instant ramen with bits. Why on earth punters would choose these mediocre fare over restaurant's namesake speciality I do not understand. There are a large corp of HK diners who are discerning and yet there is equally a large number who find variety a wanton right and so I guess because people ask people get.
Anyhow back to their food. I always have a plate of roast goose rice, sometimes mixed in with salt baked chicken and sometimes if I am super hungry a side order of their roast belly pork. All good stuff indeed! Notable mention is their salt baked chicken, done proper and next time you walk past, you may still see some of the chicken, still wrapped in their grease proof paper, line up in the salt oven cart.
Good food and beer for under a hundred, places like these are becoming scarce.
Also worthwhile mentioning that despite the GDRM restaurants are dotted all over, I have found the roast master at this place better than most of the nearby ones.
