My wife has been begging me to try this place with her for about a year or so, and one day when we were waiting to hop on the airport express, we tried it.The establishment looks neat enough, and to be honest i was pretty excited at first, but out hopes were quickly dashed once we got our food. The establishment looks neat enough, and to be honest i was pretty excited at first, but out hopes were quickly dashed once we got our food.
To be clear though, i didnt think it was all that bad, but nor did i think it was all that great. The buns were nice and the condiments were fresh and flavorful, as well as the meat. The price tag isnt outrageous either, though it is still quite high for a quick lunch place. We got two burgers and made one of them a combo with fries and a drink (that was more than enough for us and we were hungry, so order at your own risk).
Our verdict: they are cutting whatever corners they possibly can.
The burger meat was good and flavorful, although i do wish there was more of it. The buns were nice but seemed almost too big for the patty.
Also, there used to be way more cheese---covering the patty in a melted mess. This was not an impressive amount of cheese, which is a disappointment given how they advertise it.
The fries were the biggest disappointment. According to past pictures and my wife's testimony, the fries used to be fried in duck fat and were much thinner and longer, like shoestring fries. They also werent covered in seasoning like they are now. These struck me more as french fry crumbs than proper fries.
A few presentation things have gone down too.
They changed the material on the paper cups to plain bleached white paper, and they changed the original brown decorated burger wrapping to plain white butcher paper, (which was not, as my wife pointed out, covered in cold cheese at the end of our meal).
Overall this place is OK but the amount it seems to have gone downhill really took away from the experience. Just look at older pictueres for confirmation. Will not be able to return.
