We tried Susanna's yesterday as we'd never been there before so decided to go in for our anniversary meal.As well as a main menu there was a set menu for 2 and a menu for steak on hot plate. Set menu for 2 was $398 + 10% and the steak on hot plate prices varied. We both settled on the lamb rack which were $158 each, plus service charge of course.This started with a soup - I had the borscht and and my wife the cream soup. This started with a soup - I had the borscht and and my wife the cream soup. This is when I started worrying about how the meat would be. Sadly my fears were justified. The lamb came out, and looked terrible. Marinated and huge chunks of fat, and served with frozen chips, frozen sweet corn and one single broccoli floret. It was more Steak Expert than small cozy restaurant. Not nice at all. Luckily I had asked for the garlic butter on the side and not on the meat itself as that was cooked garlic mixed with what looked like lard. There is a choice to change that to a black pepper or similar sauce, which would be terrible with lamb.
We also had a drink in the price and finish with ice cream, choice of sesame or mango. We had to chase them to get this!
Total bill was $370 in total.
The restaurant itself has a nice cozy atmosphere but the food is very localised. I won't be going back.
