The barrister kept reminding me that each has to order minimum one drink once we (a group of 3) stepped in the shop without leaving any time for us to read the menu. And I wonder who will come to a cafe but not ordering a drink? Then she continued to say even for kid, one drink is needed and there’s a “baby chino”. I clarified with her what that is, she said it’s a milk with foam. Well, the shop doesn’t understand that kid can be allergic to dietary products. But I feel the pressure for placing the order faster, so I simply ordered a non caffeinated tea for the kid. Again, the barrister said it’s not sweet and suggested I added HK$5 for adding honey. This is the first time I experienced a cafe needs $5 extra for making the drinks slightly sweeter.
Later, my frd came joined us, the Barristers again looked nervous that she’s not going to order anything once she got in. The whole experience was so bad, I felt nervous rather than relaxed, and I don’t understand why a coffee shop needs to be that pushy.
