Went here for dinner in a large group last night. Initial impressions were good - a vegetarian menu and a very pleasant outdoor sitting area, but these didn’t nearly make up for the substandard, overpriced fare on offer. This is my first review, and I am writing because I felt compelled to write how overpriced and disappointing the food in this place is.Cold noodles were recognisably dressed in a Japanese salad dressing you can buy in any supermarket. 担担面 should be rich, chewy and spicy... but wh
This is my first review, and I am writing because I felt compelled to write how overpriced and disappointing the food in this
place is.
Cold noodles were recognisably dressed in a Japanese salad dressing you can buy in any supermarket.
担担面 should be rich, chewy and spicy... but what arrived was a sorry sight, soggy flaccid noodles in a peanut sauce without garnish or much flavour.
The vegetarian “fried rice” was of an honestly embarrassing quality - almost raw powdery tomato and again almost no flavour, for 128HKD(!) if I remember correctly.
My fellow diners’ meat dishes were even more expensive and equally disappointing.
Bottle of bog standard wine at more than 400HKD.
One or two dishes were ok - the salt & pepper squid almost at your standard daipaidong level for only double the price. The dim sum dumplings were actually quite nice - but come with only 2 dumplings per basket.
Perhaps this place is better for a drink in a nice environment, but if you plan on eating... do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague.
