王府 is a very classic Beijing style restaurant. Even the décor is rather similar, more importantly, a lot cleaner. It is located in the heart of Central with simple décor; the table spacing is rather crowded. The food is very traditional Northern style. 鲜肉韭菜饺 (4/10)
This is northern style dumpling; the wrapper is much thicker than the southern ones. Personally, I quite like the texture of the northern one, it’s chewier. The filling was fresh and marinated well.
手撕鸡 (6/10)The chicken was boiled nicely, fairly tender. Loved the sesame oil taste with sauce mixed with the chicken.
It was a quick lunch, but certainly the 小菜is highly recommended, please do visit in the evening and give it a try!Give me a thumbs up if you like it!
