I had visited RB Tea twice before for desserts, but this time, the mains were quite disappointing. RB Tea's desserts, such as their pancakes and waffles, are delicious, with big portions at a good price. However, their mains contrasted their desserts.The day I went was a public holiday, so there was no lunch menu, but there was an all day menu. The day I went was a public holiday, so there was no lunch menu, but there was an all day menu. The service was not too good, as the staff were not very enthusiastic. We raised our hands for around 5 minutes to ask whether there was a lunch menu that day, but we kept getting dismissed as the waiter didn't even bother to come over to ask what we wanted, but just assumed and told us from afar to find the other waitress for ordering food, which made us quite annoyed.
When our food finally arrived, I was anticipating the waffle the most, because their dessert waffle was good. However, the waffle was COLD and tasted so bland and soft. It tasted exactly like the microwave waffles you could buy from supermarkets, and it wasn't even hot. The fish fillet was good, it was hot and crispy.
The meatball spaghetti was better than the waffle and fish fillet set. It was hot and the tomato sauce was distinct. The meatballs were flavorful and chewy.
The bubble tea was an add on to the waffle set. However, it did not taste good, and we overheard the other table talking about how hard to chew the boba, and we couldn't help but agree.
This visit was quite disappointing, so I would advise you to stick to their dessert menu.
