At 3pm, Flying pan was full with a que in soho, so we decided to come instead for some sandwiches. We ordered:
Geno's Cheesesteak Hoagie (pizza) with Onion Ring ($70 + $10)
Roast Turkey Breast on Light Rye with all fillings (mustard, mayo, tomato, lettuce) ($50)
These sandwiches took a while as the hoagie filling had to be cooked to order.
The Hoagie:
The filling was cheese, steak, mushrooms, peppers, onions and pizza sauce. The whole thing taste very good and very messy to eat, although the beef was chewy from being overcooked.
The onion rings:
They were deep-fried to dark golden brown and served with a BBQ sauce which made them taste very good! nothing to complain about.
The turkey sandwich:
The bread could've used more time on the toaster because by the time it arrived it was cold and that meant it was chewy instead of being crunchy (as a result of well-toasted bread) or soft (not-toasted). The turkey filling was generous, and it came with a pickle and pasta salad which was untouched because they looked quite sad =P.
Overall both sandwiches were very tasty.
