Being a loyal fan of the Grill shop next door, I discovered this "thainan chicken" opened not long ago, probably just a few months ago. As a loyal fan of the grill shop for its skewers before drinks, I longed for a place that I can sit down and chill with its skewers, finally this wish came true.
Skewers bought at the Grill shop next door can be consumed here with comfortable seating. In addition to this, there are carbohydrates available, such as skewers and chicken with rice. I appreciate this so much as I often get off from work late and haven't got much time for a proper dinner. This on-the-go concept is definitely helpful to most LKFers.
Grills here are simply yet scrumptious, with flavours enhanced by its signature sauces.
Among all skewers, pork and chicken taste the best and are my all-time favourites, going especially decadent with green curry sauce. They aren't over-grilled, with meat remaining tender and saucy but having a crunchy, sweet exterior.
Squid is a bit overpriced given the portion, but is a must-try here if prawns of $70 is a bit extravagant here to opt for seafood items.
Fish cake is another repeated choice over most visits. Fried before being grilled to the perfect golden state, 3 fish cakes in a row satisfy much cravings yet not so greasy and burdensome as meat items.
To neutralise the grease and make myself feel more balanced, veggie and fruity items like pineapple, corn and asparagus are my usual picks. However, pineapple I had this time wasn't grilled much, with 3 cubes remaining its fruit state, seemingly not having any trace of grilling. Corn and asparagus are nevertheless up to quality and expectation, mainly because of their succulent state and delectable aroma from the grill.
