This is my first ever article written on openrice. After reading the previous articles i simply want to express some of my views on my dinning experience at this cafe as i do think this cafe is very much over-rated. As we don't want to go far, six of us went for dinner for father's day celeberation, we booked for the 1st session of the night. The decoration was fine but the space is tiny and such you have to watch your head and back when the waitress is walking around to serve the customers. The
As we don't want to go far, six of us went for dinner for father's day celeberation, we booked for the 1st session of the night. The decoration was fine but the space is tiny and such you have to watch your head and back when the waitress is walking around to serve the customers. The waitress were polite but they were very gree (and such made quite a few unnecessary mistakes) and there were only 2 waitress with a captin such we don't feel we were served much and proprely. And i think the other customer would feel the same, there was a man asking for one thing and he had to repeat for a few times. I wouldn't mind if it's a 茶餐厅
I read that the bread & butter were good, but seriousely they were just so so, you could have this level of food (or even better)in a ordinary 港式茶餐厅. What kills us were the steak, black hair pork chop, and lamb shank were thin, over cooked and dry (esp. the steak, we asked for medium) my steak was hard to cut and tough to chew. The goose liver was thin (nearly broken in the middle and not crispy enough on the outside) and the vegetables on the side were just boiled and without any seasoning . My mum would have done a better job with the steak bought from the supermarket.
So this is how i really feel about this shop.
Though it's not expensive but we do think >$1300 could have done a better job elsewere
