When grown-ups gather for a dinner but still have a lot to gossip, they usually opt for a drink. Honi Honi Tiki is not like any other bars around Lan Kwai Fong with loud music and dark-to-the-max lighting - it may be one and the only one island-themed bar here. "Tiki" in its name tells you the story - tiki culture is a kind of theme deployed in Polynesian-style restaurants mainly from the US, adopting fine art and cravings related to life on tropical islands. It was a Saturday night at around 10p
"Tiki" in its name tells you the story - tiki culture is a kind of theme deployed in Polynesian-style restaurants mainly from the US, adopting fine art and cravings related to life on tropical islands. It was a Saturday night at around 10pm. It wasn't the peak time of arrival (usually around 12am) so it is easy to get seats merely by walk-in. As it is not totally dark, tiki torches, vintage decors and thatch roofs are not difficult to spot. Music played is a bit like Latin and it portrayed the atmosphere like a summer fiesta on tropical islands! Fruits are crystal clear to be the focus in the menu. The signature drink is the big watermelon to be shared with straws (Honi Honi All the Way $900), which fits our appetite as there are 5 of us. If you aren't going in a big crowd, there are also individual drinks like Pina Colada ($120 for one-person; $220 for two) in a coconut-shaped container.

The environment and drinks rock and we had a great time, especially chilling with the big watermelon!
