There has been quite a number of new Chinese brand food chains over the last few years. Most of them are quite good. Not this one though.Ordered two dishes, one of which is the lamb skewers, which is allegedly this chain's speciality.I was quite excited until it arrived. The skewers were tiny. I was quite excited until it arrived. The skewers were tiny. Ok, mom always say not to judge a book by its cover, perhaps it'll taste amazing. Unfortunately, nope. The first thing that caught my attention after biting onto it was it tasted as if it was processed meat. There was little to no lamb scent nor flavor to it. The meat is also quite attached to the skewer stick and takes more effort to bite off in a clean way. For how thin and small each skewer is, while it does make me admire the skill involved in making, it does make me wonder how they were able to get the meat onto the skewer pick that way. Ironically and amusingly, the shop poster next to me prints "Small is better". 😂 The photo includes a pinky for scale.
Dumplings was fine. The chicken that comes with it has many small broken bones though. Meh.
Sorry, smaller is not better 😕
