It was Saturday evening around 7:30pm and I decided to try this restaurant as it didn't have a queue. The restaurant is named "salt recipes" supposedly famous for its recipes in using "salt".The diner serves 3 course set dinners priced either at $198 or $298 depending whether you choose a pasta / risotto or a main course (I.e. Seafood / fish). The set comes with appetiser, main course, chocolates as desserts and a drink. I chose a $298 dinner set, which comes with truffle oil mushroom soup, B

I chose a $298 dinner set, which comes with truffle oil mushroom soup, Beer battered daily fish with fries with a choice of (tartare / wasabi Mayo sauce) and (sweet / regular) potato fries, chocolate for dessert, and a Himalayan lemon ginger tea.
The soup was decent, finely puréed mushroom and smell of truffle oil was just enough.
The main dish was disappointing. As I chose sweet potato fries but came with a mixed regular and sweet potato fries. When I asked the waiter, he told me that as it's still in the trial stage that's why food on my dish may not reflect what I have ordered. Entirely unacceptable. This may also violate the Hk laws. The fish was unseasoned at all, there was the taste of frozen fish and very under-seasoned. I had to seadon it with table salt...and the restaurant is named "salt recipes". They should rename it "salt less recipes".
When I finished each dish, no one came to my service to clean the table, or refill my water. When I looked at the waiters, they looked back but did nothing. So terrible was not up to par as well.
For this price, now we know why there is no queue. Unfortunately there are no suggestions cards, so this review shall serve as their basis for improvement.
