TLDR: Enticing food, meagre portions for a big price, stylish but impractical restuarant.

DNA is clearly meticulously decorated not for functionality but for #unfiltered Instagram posts, and in this regard, it is very successful indeed. The cavernous space is adorned with gorgeous Chinese (and sometimes "Chinese") ornaments and aims to transport the diner into a kung fu academy . Beautiful as the restaurant may be, it wasn't built for use, with the tightly-packed tables making diners feel like they're eating in a dai pai dong and the  low-hanging lanterns constantly accosting passerbys and waiters alike.

The food is delicious: the lobster broth served with their signature Lobster Tail Soup Noodles left me wanting more after I finished the bowl. But that could also be because the portions at DNA are scant. Now $149 for a bowl of noodles with lobster in the middle of Central is not too too expensive, but for that price, maybe more than just a paltry few strands of noodles? My friends ordered the Lobster & Shrimp Roe "Lo Mein" and Shredded Lobster & Rice in Soup; both agreed that they were delectable but left feeling unsatisfied. We left the restaurant and went straight to McDonalds for some fast food after.

Had to try it for the buzz surrounding it, and wouldn't say I was disappointed, but would I go again? Not sure.
