Car Truck Noodle has been one of the signature quick meal in Hong Kong and Wing Kee is probably one of the best ones in town. As usual you pick your own desired noodle base with your favourite toppings, as many as you want basically. The first bowl was with octopus, and Chinese dumplings. What's surprising is that different kind of veggie would be provided in the bowl complimentarily. I have picked the flat egg noodle which was probably a mistake. They have changed the type of this flat noodle and it was just not good at all. It was bland and hard which was similar to the taste of uncooked noodle but it was actually cooked! I believe the quality of this noodle type was just a lot worse than before!
The second bowl was a classic the most favourited bowl of beef tender with vermicelli noodles. The broth was super flavourful with a strong savouriness and beef taste. It was almost thick yet not too salty.
The beef tender topping came with some raddish as well as some small pieces of beef briskets.
Again, the bowl comes with some complimentary spinach which is actually very good to our health!
Good small traditional shops are meant to be respected and appreciated. So please try to support these shops who is operating with hearts and effort, fighting against the flying high rent in Hong Kong!
