If you want Cha Chaan Teng service at Western prices, look no further! I made a booking for Christmas for 10 people almost a month in advance. 2 weeks before the restaurant called to say they'd have to cancel as they double booked. I started telling my friends it was cancelled. 20 minutes later they called back to say they'd made a mistake on the dates and the booking was fine. Annoying...but then at 21:00 TWO DAYS BEFORE they called to say they have taken another booking and hoped we don't mind

Annoying...but then at 21:00 TWO DAYS BEFORE they called to say they have taken another booking and hoped we don't mind sitting outside. I checked the forecast (rain), and asked if the outside area was covered. No. I luckily managed to get in at The Globe, whose staff were very polite and professional and managed to seat us for Xmas dinner at 2 days' notice. In short, go there instead.
