It’s such a blessing Tsim Sha Tsui has a lot of petite pinky cake shops for us to quench those cravings when we need to inject positive energy into our bloodstream during downtime, or simply to celebrate life when we are in a good mood!
Twelve Cupcakes is one of them, and I am definitely delighted by their Easter Edition(30HKD each).
It has grown its business so fast from Singapore, opening 12 branches in its home country within two years. I guess Singaporeans have as many cravings to it as we do, especially those looking for relatively health conscious choices. The chefs here strive to bake less sugary cupcakes for our own good.
This delicate cake shop does not have tables and stools for a brief rest, but the sunny blue sky, modern metallic skyscrapers and concrete-made slightly-smoky buildings, have made such a vibrant distinction with the fairy-tale delicacy of the shop. It’s Alice Lost in the Wonderland.
Personally, I think the cakes are just-right in sweetness. The cute carrot and rabbit marshmallows really melt my heart! Yummy and colorful decoration! The plain cake bases do not have stuffing and refined.
My favorite is the Hopeful Rabbit, which is caramel and rock salt in taste. This flavor suits well with the chocolate cake.
The Easter Egg is my other favorite, which the green minty cream blends nicely with the choco base too---refreshing!
The Happy Carrot has little hint of carrot, and I wish it has more carrot strands as I enjoy the texture of unprocessed ingredients instead of refined carbs. However, the cheesy cream on top is amazing. I prefer the softness of the cakes from La Creation de Gute at K11, but I definitely choose Twelve Cupcakes for its right amount of sweetness!
The Red Velvet Cake is so romantically beautiful! Will try it soon!
