This cha chaan teng has a dish that is named after the final dish 黯然销魂饭 (sorrowful rice) in Stephen Chow's movie "The God of Cookery". I love that movie and therefore I was intrigued by the name so I finally decided to try it. The dish is basically chinese bbq pork with egg over rice. The set came with the red bean with ice drink. It's a classic drink but unfortunately mine was watery with way too much milk and syrup. The red beans were alright as it was soft and sweet - just wish there was more

黯然销魂饭 - the bbq pork looked promising at first with plenty of fat along with the lean meat. The pork was not tender enough though and the sauce was sickenly sweet. There was way too much of it so it was hard to get it off the pork. The egg white was plastic in texture and not pleasant to eat. It was just overcooked and hard.

Pretty disappointing food and drink here. The environment was crowded and the service was lacking. I used to like the tomato and beef macaroni here but seems that the quality of food has gone down quite a bit.
