No jokes, a while ago, a bunch of foodies have commented Zuc.cch.ero as the best dessert place in Hong Kong. I immediately came here for a quick dessert after a meal in cwb. In fact, long before, I have heard of this place but never really got a chance or motivation. What's not better than some good desserts after a good dinner? BrewDog Five Am Red Ale $75
BrewDog is no stranger to us but we have never tried this lychee flavoured one. It's a bit fruity but not sweet. It just has a very light subtle taste with a very smooth texture.
COEDO Black Lager $75COEDO is one my favourite Japanese beer brand. You may get draft COEDO in Fashion Walk but bottled one will do the job for now. It's a very dark beer but not bitter. It has a strong malt taste which I liked a lot. When compared to the English stout, this is something different with less bitterness. I would highly recommend it if you like dark beer in general.
Not Virgin Mojito $70A new item on the menu. A alcoholic mojito in a solid form. The dessert consist of mint parfait, lime ice, brown sugar sponge cake, soda lime foam, vodka jelly. A rather refreshing dessert with a strong mint flavour. To be, it does have a little bit of toothpaste taste to me though.
I liked the soda lime foam the best because it is light and super smooth. It's like cream without the fattiness. I can clean up the entire plate all by myself because it's sour and just lightening.
Snow White $118A classic American dessert with a twist. with cheesecake, and apple crumble at the bottom, and lime sorbet hidden inside the sugar apple.
You are supposed to break the apple and mix in the sugar pieces into the dessert but I personally found it too sweet so a sorbet is more than enough to give an extra sweetness. The cheesecake is not dense and not too heavy, a perfect compliment to the classic cinnamon piece pieces.
Call me old fashion, I would probably prefer a good old scoop of vanilla ice cream than lime sorbet just because lime sorbet is a bit too sour and too sweet, which overpowers the delicious apple at the bottom.
The restaurant is a great place to celebrate any special occasions too because words can be written on the plate. Yet any casual dessert date would also be perfect because this place is cozy at the bar table and you may choose to sit at the bench table if wish to have just a slightly bit more privacy.
