Seeing that many people had ranked Hemma's cakes the No. 1 cakes in Hong Kong, we naturally came with very high expectations.We've read many reviews on Instagram and wanted to avoid the queue, so we came at 10:30 in the morning. When we arrived, we were very surprised to see a notice labelled 'Minimum charge: One drink per person' plastered on the front door. The reviews on Instagram never mentioned that and we wanted to come for the cakes (that are already quite expensive) only, instead of spen
The staff weren't particularly friendly, but they were efficient in cleaning up right after customers leave. You have to order on the first floor before going to the seating areas on the second and third floor. The second floor is quite aesthetic, and apparently the third floor has books for you to enjoy, but unfortunately we did not have time to visit the third floor.
We ordered the Vanilla Burnt Cheesecake and Lemon Burnt Cheesecake. The portion was smaller than expected and the flavor was also not as rich as we had hoped. Overall, the cakes are tasty, but have a far way to go from deserving the title of No. 1 Cakes in Hong Kong.

In conclusion, we were quite disappointed. To be completely honest, I think Tealosophy's Matcha Cheesecake and even Sushiro's Catalana are better than Hemma's cakes, but that is just my personal preference.
