When I join the queue after lunch, there were already 5 people waiting to be served. There were 2 girls behind the counter, one was chopping strawberries and the other had her head in the fridge.
After waiting patiently for a minute, I realised the girl with her head in the fridge was not looking for anything, but merely re-stocking. Both girls were completely content to IGNORE ALL their customers to chop strawberries and re-organise the fridge.
After watching a couple customers leave in disgust empty-handed, I enquire loudly whether their manager or someone willing to serve us was around, the girl with the strawberries instantly puts her knife down and comes to take our order, acting like it was the first time she was aware of the whole line of us. The fridge girl continues to pretend we don't exist.
I don't care if you're summer students or it's your first day. What kind of IDIOTIC company tells their employees it's ok to ignore their customers completely?
