Next to 3 Stars Status Sun Tung Lok, originally a shark’s fin restaurant, sits a competitor 1 Star Fu Ho more celebrated for their 阿翁鲍鱼 abalone, and also poultry dishes. They actually have a Free Corkage policy here, which is hard to find in HK anywhere. Needed a quick lunch 1 day after working in this area and wanted to revisit Sun Tung Lok but they were full. I knew my next choice would be Genki Ippai Ya’s Tonkatsu but wanted less porky food, so came here for yum cha instead. Everything was pretty well executed actually.. it gives me enough confidence to return and order their more expensive a-la-carte dishes during lunch or dinner!

- The Sea Cucumber in Beancurd Roulade (辽参腐皮卷) @ $38, was value for money and tasted great.
- Steamed Glutinous Rice (千层糯米饭) @ $38, had alternating layers of flavoured or plain glutinous rice, with a bit of salted egg yolk. I don’t mind eating this to replace my rice for lunch!!

Not sure about their A La Carte dishes yet, as Dim Sum chef could be good in some restaurants but the Head Chef might have other ideas. Apparently on top of Abalone, they are very well known for their Poultry (Chicken and duck) dishes. Might come back another day to try...
