Today I paid a visit to my aunt in Hunghom. Hunghom has changed a lot since my last visit. At the ground floor of Hotel Sav (逸酒店) at Wuhu Street (芜湖街), there is a new bakery selling Taiwanese sponge cake (台湾古早味旦糕) called Alisan Bakery (阿里山).As my aunt likes sponge cake, I bought one loaf for her. As my aunt likes sponge cake, I bought one loaf for her. The classic sponge cake is freshly baked at the shop and is hot when I get it. It is packed in a nice paper box. It costs $70.

I share the sponge cake with my aunt. The pillow like sponge cake is soft, fluffy and full of egg flavor. It is simple, but classic and yummy. It is not too sweet or oily, suitable for those health-conscious. It is advisable to consume it asap when it is fresh. At room temperature, it may be kept for one day while 3 days in the fridge.

I may try other flavors at my next visit.
