Been waiting a while to catch this place. 😌Opening hours are not workfolks friendly: 10:00-18:00 and closed on Mondays which are my days off! 🤨 Glad to drop by on a slow Friday morning on a special day off.First, the decor is amazing. First, the decor is amazing. It is a nice American 🇺🇸 hypster diner smashed with some Tokyo feels. 🇯🇵 On top of that the use of Cantonese lingo, niiiice touch! (See menus and check if you can catch them all) What really did it for me was the plants and the large windows. 🪟 The graphics are shockingly cool. The only meh for me was the low music. I guess it was too early and two few people and that amplified everything.
Now the milkshake. Obvioulsy had to have a milkshake, there were several recommendations aka JENG SHIT. ✅✅✅ It was waaay to early for the Peanut and butter bacon 🥓 but I couldn’t resist a matcha. Disclaimer: I’m NOT a matcha fan and that’s why this is a test of fire. And the verdict: worth the trip! 🤪
Without a huge appetite, an obvious choice seemed to the classic grilled cheese. 🧀PERFECTION. ❤️ Toasted but not burn. Warm not burning. A bit on the sweet side for cheese but balanced with the bread. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
It’s definitely not your sham shui po price level but it’s okay so will come back to try other stuff on the menu ☺️
