A Great Hideaway, an exquisite Dining Experience

Located on the 9th floor of Universal House in Causeway Bay, the interior of the Western restaurant was pretty dark and hip, with the mixture of elegance and classy, the ambiance of great romance were well spot on. We were well greeted with cordial staffs. Me and my friends sat at a long table with sofas at the sides. With the great night view behind the glasses, it brought in positive vibes in the air, giving me great pleasure leaning back and gazing down the City of Lights. Their menu choices

Located on the 9th floor of Universal House in Causeway Bay, the interior of the Western restaurant was pretty dark and hip, with the mixture of elegance and classy, the ambiance of great romance were well spot on.

We were well greeted with cordial staffs. Me and my friends sat at a long table with sofas at the sides. With the great night view behind the glasses, it brought in positive vibes in the air, giving me great pleasure leaning back and gazing down the City of Lights.

Their menu choices looked great! There were pork, lamb and steak choices with favorably picked sides e.g berries sauce for pork. To be honest, everything on the food menu induced salvation and it was tough narrowing down our choices. Ended up we choise pork and steak.

 The mixed mushroom was really fresh and rich, couldn't stop wanting for more sips!

 In fact the duck and caesar salad were fair, but the mustard sauce added into the salad definitely lit up the whole plate, making it more inviting and flavourful!

 It was worth mentioning that their Grilled Australian Lamp Chop with French Bean was really great!! It was lusciously grilled and texture right on spot! The mashed potato at the sides made the dish more filling and was fairly delicious too.

Carbonara came with great spot light as the oozing yolk spilled out from the middle.  The soft spa egg added moisture to the carbonara too!

My friends and I went for dinner at a newly opened restaurant in Causeway Bay. It is a bit far away from Causeway Bay MTR station, but the best part is that you can enjoy ypur meal in front of Victoria Harbour!Inside the restaurant is dim, in other words, it is quite moody.The set menu is a big deal! A 6-course menu costs around $500 per head only.Some toast was served in the beginning of thhe meal. we could not see butter but a bowl of crabmeat and mushroom cream sauce instead. The combination

 Some toast was served in the beginning of thhe meal. we could not see butter but a bowl of crabmeat and mushroom cream sauce instead. The combination was good because those sauce was cold while the toast was hot.

 EL Salad

It is basically Caesar salad with smoked duck breast but with a twist. Dijon Mustard is used in the salad dressing to make it slightly spicy and more appetising.

 Soup of the Day -- Black Truffle Mushroom Soup

The manager told us the chef simply blended the porcini mushroom with water to cook this soup. French porcini mushroom carries strong nutty flavour which makes the soup very flavourful.

 Spanish Iberico Pork Juniper Berries Sauce

There are altogether five main dish to choose from. I ordered Spanish Iberico Pork (medium well). The Iberico Pork was grilled perfectly with crispy crust and succulent flesh. It has been my first time to try juniper berries sauce. Actually, juniper berry is one of the main ingredients of Gin. Its sourness goes well with the meat.

The lamb chop was grilled perfectly too! We ordered medium in order to keep the meat tender and juicy. It is not so meaty, which is good for me. The mashed potato aside was smooth and creamy but I would love it to be more buttery (less healthy haha).

The carbonara here was unexpectedly nice!
 The spaghetti is al dente. I have to say many restaurants in Hong Kong fail to serve al dente pasta. The runny eggyolk was very attractive and it also added moisture to the spaghetti. The sauce was rich and creamy, and we could even notice the taste of bacon in it!

 In conclusion, the overall quality is fine with a reasonable price. It would be a good choice for couples.

    這是視覺和味覺的雙重享受阿！ 

    我們這些大胃王當然不會輕易滿足，決定豁出去再點意粉來一嚐滋味。

     卡邦尼意粉是必點吧？果然不失期望，特別中間的蛋，篤破後蛋漿湧出來 加強了本身煙肉和意粉的味道 ，完全是停不了口！

     其後再吃的蟹肉意粉雖然鮮味十足，但與剛才的卡邦尼相比 顯得略為清淡 相對性失色，但友人卻很喜歡，說意粉有添加到白酒，開啟到她的食欲
    真的是各有特點！

    我們最欣賞的是這餐廳很善於利用不同食材，沒有不斷把菜式畫蛇添足 只把它最好的一面發揮出來。坦白說 這個價錢能享受的景觀和食物質素十分值得。更是適合二人世界~


    下次要拖其他朋友再來！賺錢就是要享受嘛。

    沙律有鴨胸 個醬仲有別於其他既簡單沙律醬或黑醋 而用左芥末醬 好特別 鴨胸無死咸!

     係時候到main啦 依間餐廳竟然有豬既選擇 仲係西班牙既黑毛豬
    一於試試佢 配既係杜松子醬 第一次食依隻醬 配豬又吾差喎 有個橫切面showshow俾大家睇 豬煎到有8成熟架 都好嫩!雖然比吾上牛既嫩 但豬泥講 就係一消我對豬嚡口同韌既印象 但友人就驚粉紅部分無食到 不過我就懶理食晒 原汁原味嘛!

     食一啖依個蟹肉意粉已經食出有白酒味 真係我大愛 飲左成晚既依枝白酒既味 係埋依個意粉度真係吾錯 蟹肉鮮甜
    但整體味道滿足吾到重口味既我 唯有加嗌一個卡邦尼醒一醒胃 但個陣白酒味係我腦海揮之不去係真既

      近期係尖沙咀已經搵唔到食喇所以唯有延伸去啲遠嘅地方啦~呢間餐廳就係一棟商業大廈入面，出面同電梯大堂睇落都唔似有野食，如果唔係係Open Rice呢到睇到，都真係唔知有野食餐廳燈光比較暗，可以話係有格調不得不提嘅就一定係個維多利亞海景啦如果新年黎呢到食野，仲可以睇埋煙花，都咪話唔爽皮啊!!!首先上嘅係EL Salad，其實就係煙鴨胸沙律，特別之處係個salad dressing係用咗Dijon Mustard，即係黃芥末整嘅，本身Dijon Mustard嘅味道係好濃同辣，但係由於用係沙律上面，所以調淡咗啲味道普遍餐廳嘅湯都有點兒求其不過呢到嘅牛肝菌湯(Soup of the Day)就值得一讚喇!!聽個經理講，成個湯都係用水同牛肝菌煮成，最後再少少嘅香草醬調味。牛肝菌本身味道非常重，所以簡單咁用水煮之後，個湯已經有濃郁嘅菇味可能廚房有啲細，所以主菜等候時間有啲慢不過終於到喇!!由於呢個係西班牙黑毛豬，豬肉嘅品質好高，所以可以煎到七、八成熟，切開可以見到啲肉有微微嘅粉紅色(無影到相 )，而且肉質非常嫩滑，唔係好似食緊豬肉咁個橙色醬嘅粒粒係Juniper Berries杜松子黎，可能你會

       西冷牛扒就要咗Medium，個人都係鍾意Medium Rare多啲，不過同行嘅人驚太過生
      切開之後都唔太似係Medium，啲肉唔係粉肉色嘅

       跟住就到我本人至愛嘅羊肉喇

      呢個煎澳洲羊鞍係係咁多食物入面最出眾嘅，Medium嘅羊鞍好容易切開，肉質軟腍。
      唔明白點解啲人成日食羊都會話「舊羊一啲都唔膻，好好食啊」
      食羊就緊係要食佢嘅羊膻味嫁啦
      !!!!呢個都有少少羊膻味，我覺得可以再重啲，同埋缺少咗同羊肉好夾嘅Mint Jelly


      除咗肉食之外，我同朋友都叫咗兩個意粉Share

       食完個蟹肉意粉之後，大家都開始有啲飽，但係仲有個卡邦尼意粉
      原本對呢個意粉無咩好大嘅期望，不過個樣又幾吸引人和
      篤開中間半熟嘅蛋黃，再同意粉攪埋一齊，口感非常Creamy同濃郁


      食曬啲野真係好飽啊，唔知幾多運動先可以消化到呢
      ?
