Bookmarked this place for so long coz I’ve saw a a lot of good comments about their Ice-cream Sandwiches🤭 I’m finally here and it’s my first time trying Filipino food.We started our meal with Filipino Spring Rolls ($68/4 pcs) which are filled with ground pork and mixed vegetables and it’s very crispy😋 Seared Tuna Salad ($108) was okay.For main we had the Gaw’s Carbonara ($158). If you are planning to order the Carbonara, you’ll need to expect it to be very different to the creamy one we normally

We started our meal with Filipino Spring Rolls ($68/4 pcs) which are filled with ground pork and mixed vegetables and it’s very crispy😋 Seared Tuna Salad ($108) was okay.
For main we had the Gaw’s Carbonara ($158). If you are planning to order the Carbonara, you’ll need to expect it to be very different to the creamy one we normally have. They got the inspiration from Sisig, a Filipino dish made from parts of a pig's face & belly, and chicken liver. This Carbonara is like a Sisig with pasta.
Ice-cream sandwich ($58) was really yum😍 The bread was super soft and buttery and I like it’s still warm when served. We also had the avocado one but I like the ube one a lot more!🙈

Whilst Wanchai is full of places to get a hearty meal, Holy Gaw stands out by offering a variety of Filipino-inspired food which is rarely found in HK. It’s a great spot to try out some exciting fusion cuisine. It’s my first time trying a pasta with pâté (a paste which contains liver and spices)! To me it tastes fabulous as I love the intense flavour of liver and the sauce perfectly clings to the tagliatelle pasta. Some ppl may find the taste too strong, but to me it’s a wonderful and unique fusion of Italian and Filipino cuisine!
這款並不是一般的Carbonara，醬汁非常特別，如果你平時喜歡膶腸/豬潤的味道，這個醬汁就是這味道的精華版😂很喜歡這款意粉！配上炸豬皮和豬肉粒，新鮮感十足！😋

The dish is less surprising in contrast to the carbonara, especially the tenderloin could be more juicy and tender. But the cauliflower rice underneath is nicely cooked and I love its garlicky aroma!
椰菜花飯加入了蒜蓉來炒，非常香！但略嫌牛肉有點硬，相比之下沒有太大驚喜。

It’s definitely the highlight of the meal. ✨Purple ube ice cream plus green pandan buns are just fantastic!!! I prefer tasting them separately as both are sweet in its distinct flavours and might overpower each other. Soft and crunchy in the same bite.
本身就是衝著這個雪糕來的！經典的菲律賓香芋口味，味道濃郁，口感偏紮實且不易溶，班蘭麵包則烘至微脆，甜甜的非常好吃！雖然是雪糕sandwich，但我覺得一起吃的話香芋味會被蓋過，還是分開吃才能仔細嘗到各自的美味。

    I visited for lunch with family. Interior is nice and cozy, the service was above average. Food was served at the right time, 5-10 mins. The meatballs were amazing, they were soft and tasty. I like that the main dish came with cauliflower rice, very good alternative for plain rice. The Salpicao was a bit too salty for me, the texture was good though. Gaw’s Carbonara, unique and it’s actually salty. Meatball Bolognese, again the meatballs were delicious, but pasta was a bit bland.Ice cream sandwi

    An asian take on pasta with a sauce packed with southern-asian flavors, not too pungent but incredibly flavorsome with a little spicy kick. The pork neck and liver pate added much earthy flavor that I absolutely love. The tagliatelle cling on the sauces incredibly well. It’s a very different interpretation of carbonara, and it’s very delicious!

    US tenderloin cooked with garlic and house sauce. The tenderloin is quite tender but it’s leaning towards well done, would’ve preferred a medium rare. But the sauce is delicious. Complemented with cauliflower rice which absorbed all the residual sauces and it’s cooked with garlic that adds extra flavor to the otherwise dull cauliflower.

    Ube (purple sweet potato) flavored ice cream sandwiched between soft roll. It’s definitely very photogenic but didn’t have the wow factor in taste. The ube flavor is subtle and more on the sweet side, not particularly impressed.
