Been wanting to eat at Shahrazad Lebanese Dining for a while, but it is ALWAYS so fully booked during busy hours! Snagged a 7:45pm slot two weeks ahead of time via OpenRice - and the wait was very much worth it.

We ordered the Hummus, Mix Hot Mezze Platter, and the small Shahrazad Mixed Grill. The hummus was a standard staple food. The Mix Hot Mezze Platter was suggested by the waiter, and the variety and amounts were very suitable. Each dish (there were four) had two pieces of food items in them except the Potato Harra which filled a small bowl to the brim (MY FAVORITE).

We went for the SMALL mixed grill and it was a LOT for two people! We couldn’t finish it and the waiter came and joked about how we should each take on a piece each as he fetched us the bill. The mixed grill had a spectrum of meat - from chicken to pork to beef to lamb (which was the absolute best). It was served beautifully on a pot, looked amazing on camera, and felt great in my belly.

The staff were welcoming and periodically came to check on us to see how our dining experience was. The place definitely lives up to the hype - we will be back!

Shahrazad Mixed Grill (small)

Don’t let the word “small” fool you, this mix grill of beef, lamb and chicken comes with it’s own charcoal pit that takes up almost one fifth of your table. The pile of meat, each grilled to its most succulent state, sits lavishly on a slice of pita bread, below which lies bits of charcoal to keep it warm and smoky. The dish comes with two dip sauces, Tomeya (Creamy Garlic Sauce) and Tahini (Sesame Paste), with the former reminds you of the classic kebab sauce and the latter gives you a touch of the authentic Lebanese taste. This Shahrazad’s signature is heavy, scrumptious and full of spice. Definitely a must-try for anyone who’s new to the place.
