今次我點了夏季限定創作拉麵: 烤和牛清燉湯拉麵及冲繩啤酒,這裡有很多酒類飲品供應,由於肚餓及意猶未盡,看看餐牌,拉麵可以點半份,於是點了半份白拉麵。烤和牛燉湯拉麵不俗,烤和牛5成熟,可直接沾茄醬或芥末吃,又或者放入熱湯再吃。燉湯醇和易入口,內有一片豆腐及一片黑松露,麵條用全麥麵粉製造,吃完麵條可將熱湯放入那小碗混有和牛的飯內當湯飯吃,整體不俗。那半份的白拉麵雖然份量少但相當不錯,䐁骨湯好熱,湯濃油量少亦不起膠,有鮮味不太咸亦不口渴,證明用足材料煲湯。叉燒雖小但脂肪量適中,口感度高,配幼麵很好吃。

份量有D少,不過個豬真係好好味,柚子鹽味重,個豬的質感佳,好爽口彈牙~連個配菜-薯仔都係心機之作,外面係脆皮的甜甜地,內面係好軟心的感覺!

繁忙到不行的香港生活裏, 食物是最好的調劑。這天下班後到IFC等下場, 唯有在裏面搵食愛人說同事有推介過一間拉麵, 好, 試試吧!甫到門口已見等位的人, 人未成龍, 等了大概20分鐘便可安坐吧檯位置。看menu當然二話不說看ramen部份, 看到"推薦"產品, 當你對食店不熟識便很自然會接受推薦, 雖然結果是非.常.失.望....拉麵上檯後, 我興奮的欣賞這碗拉麵, 面層的油裏浮著一些黑點, 我不以為意心想是香草或調味料。一吃不得了,真的有種"焦"香...你可以說我過份注重健康/吾識欣賞, 但你很難說服我燒焦的東西對身體有益, 每一啖都似是在吞下致癌物質...叉燒, 麵, 湯底好吾好食我已食吾出, 因為全部都係焦焦香香......說到底, 我覺得是我錯了, 沒有清楚了解description便下單, 人地寫明"焦", 英文都有describe呢個inventive既做法, 所以絕對係我錯最後有免費甜品, 麵包球加朱古力醬, 咁簡單的東西我都發覺"好難食"

一吃不得了,真的有種"焦"香...
你可以說我過份注重健康/吾識欣賞, 但你很難說服我燒焦的東西對身體有益, 每一啖都似是在吞下致癌物質...叉燒, 麵, 湯底好吾好食我已食吾出, 因為全部都係焦焦香香......

說到底, 我覺得是我錯了, 沒有清楚了解description便下單, 人地寫明"焦", 英文都有describe呢個inventive既做法, 所以絕對係我錯

最後有免費甜品, 麵包球加朱古力醬, 咁簡單的東西我都發覺"好難食"

假期前夕,放工同同事chill chill。IFC 食野都比較貴,但係哩度happy hour 買一送一,飲品$7x-9x,價錢都算合理。首先嚟個牛油果沙律,內面有蕃茄、豆腐、蝦,同少少wasabi,清新得嚟幾開胃之後叫左個三文魚番茄risotto,成個番茄入面壤入risotto同三文魚碎,加埋熱辣辣芝士汁,極度邪惡😈,味道還可。最後叫左個柚子汁豚肉燒(冇影到相😅),但係個人認為係三樣裡面最好食。柚子汁酸酸地配埋鐵板上嘅豚肉,再配埋野菜絲,好好食!晚飯埋單兩個人$360左右,依家食完上網填問卷仲有$80 coupon 送!(哩間Gogyo原來係屬一風堂旗下)總結:食物較為細碟,男士可能唔夠飽,女士食啱啱好。下次會再嚟happyhour!

最後叫左個柚子汁豚肉燒(冇影到相😅),但係個人認為係三樣裡面最好食。

在等位時,間中會傳來非常香的味道,應該是在做拉麵的湯汁吧,完全是在增加我的食慾。雖然這店是主打拉麵,但倒不太合我口味,我覺得味道太重,不是我喜歡的。菜單上美美的圖片實在太吸引,所以除了拉麵外,我們忍不住點了帝王卷,帝王卷是一件有海膽、魚子、吞拿魚腩,甜蝦的壽司。幾種本身都好鮮甜的刺身堆在一起,一口咬下去,感覺好複雜,但又好豐富,沒有誰搶了誰的味道,會把他們的味道都一一吃出來的。

菜單上美美的圖片實在太吸引,所以除了拉麵外,我們忍不住點了帝王卷,帝王卷是一件有海膽、魚子、吞拿魚腩,甜蝦的壽司。幾種本身都好鮮甜的刺身堆在一起,一口咬下去,感覺好複雜,但又好豐富,沒有誰搶了誰的味道,會把他們的味道都一一吃出來的。

由於餐廳不接受電話訂座,朋友千叮萬囑要趕在六時前到達,不然六時後便要開始等位。剛好六時到達,可以即刻入座,我們一坐下已急不及待點酒,歡樂時光至八時,大部分飲品都有買一送一,紅酒,白酒,清酒,日本清啤,梅酒都有!服務也相當貼心, 買一送一的可以先上一round, 稍後喝完才上第二round,可以八時前點好酒,然後再慢慢飲。食物按朋友推介點了串燒拼盤、和牛串燒、炸雞、銀鱈魚,炸蘆筍,燒玉子。和牛串燒不便宜,差不多一百元才兩片,但的確物有所值。牛舌亦很稔很滑,不會燒得過熟。朋友喜愛炸雞,還追加了一份。另一驚喜是芝士醬法包,芝士醬甜甜的可以減少吃完串燒的油膩,沒想日式餐廳有這道小食,很有新意呢! 最後點了招牌五行焦香味噌拉麵及淡麗鹽味拉麵,可能已吃了很多串燒,淡麗鹽味拉麵更合我們口味,相比之下,焦香拉麵太濃味了。原本入座時有限時九十分鐘,但由於我們不停點酒及食物,最後也沒有要求我們交枱,十時多才離開,相當盡興的happy friday呢!

第一次去呢間餐廳 同幾個friend happy hour加 食晚飯, 飲品味道一般但勝在賣相靚。反而食物幾好,好食到唔記得影相。全晚最愛係碗 淡灑鹽拉麵,岩 d鐘意食清淡 d既朋友,加上佢地 d小食都幾濃味。個人覺得食碗淡灑鹽balance返岩岩好 ^^ Ps: 唔知點解個碗五味焦香拉麵 or 黑拉麵 有 d豆豉鯪魚味 =.=

和熊朋友去完AIA嘉年華之後在IFC逛街,晚飯時間不想吃太多,來了這家Gogyo吃拉麵。之前吃過他們家的五行焦香味增拉麵,覺得還不賴。這次發現另外兩款拉麵竟然有半份size的,像我這種晚餐只想吃一點點的提供了一個超棒的選擇!小食我點了黑松露枝豆。枝豆是熱的,也有黑松露的香味,但我覺得枝豆殼表面太油,不像炒過的,像篜出來但又很油的感覺很奇怪。 拉麵我點的是半份的赤。這是豬骨湯配黑蒜油的薄多傳統幼麵。半份我很少在其他拉麵店看到,我真心喜歡!!女生吃了應該都飽肚的!麵煮得很軟,我本身喜歡軟一點的食物所以覺得不錯。叉燒有一片,肥瘦均勻。豬骨湯底不算很濃郁,黑蒜味很香,總體來說還算ok!

拉麵我點的是半份的赤。這是豬骨湯配黑蒜油的薄多傳統幼麵。半份我很少在其他拉麵店看到,我真心喜歡!!女生吃了應該都飽肚的!麵煮得很軟,我本身喜歡軟一點的食物所以覺得不錯。叉燒有一片,肥瘦均勻。豬骨湯底不算很濃郁,黑蒜味很香,總體來說還算ok!

經一位日本朋友介紹,第一次試呢間拉麵!12:30午飯時間於IFC,當時只有呢間未出現排隊情況.侍應第一句:<幾位?>第二句:<1個鐘內還枱?>👌之後入座,眼中只見menu 4款拉麵set大約$150-$200,選擇左比較濃既KURO RAMEN配壽司!侍應態度良好,有覆單拉麵濃湯底,麵質爽!但壽司個賣相真係麻麻埋單每人$180左右,喺IFC食lunch差不多,但呢個價錢食拉麵有點貴!

行街行到食飯時間, 就響商場搵間試試, 日式野我最啱, 一於試下先. 睇左一輪Menu, 好似主打拉麵, 但今日唔想食呢樣, 所以要左個另類選擇, 食炸豬扒飯.豬扒外表既炸粉好鬆化, 食落唔油膩好香脆. 而入面既肉質夠厚, 脂肪均勻而腍身嫩滑, 肉味濃香. 比起日本食既炸豬扒唔會太差, 而蔬菜亦都係任加, 加D沙律醬, 可以解左食完炸物既油膩感, 夠清新. 白飯係珍珠米, 一粒粒唔會太腍.

春日限定 清燉肉湯拉麵配和牛外腿肉 - 燉肉清湯非常清甜,清爽但係又好好肉味,和牛外腿肉好冧,一啲筋都冇,味道單純。燒蘑菇有焦香,為清淡嘅湯增點層次。麵條較薄,雖然湯咁清,但係都唔會淡,每一口麵都感受師傅做呢個湯嘅心血。至於响和牛肉上嘅芝士,用途似乎不大,唔覺佢對碗麵或和牛有咩幫助,仲有雙色蘆筍對我黎講只係點綴,係好食,都算甜,但係青白蘆筍各只得半條,超鬼鼠。由於清湯油少,保温力欠奉,麵食到一半就凍,凍咗就仲淡。麵食完後,剩下來仲可以做茶漬飯,加入青芥辣調味,再度享受肉湯精華。呢種淡麗嘅口味,响香港嘅日式拉麵確實少見,想轉個口味不妨試試。

五行焦香味噌拉麵 - 看上去風平浪靜,一層黑油泛光,响普通嘅賣相表面下,就係熱騰騰嘅拉麵同有爆發性嘅湯頭。我無誇張,老實講,佢啲配料冇咩特別,而且份量少,冇咩好提。但係佢湯真係不得了,聞落去燶燶地,飲落去有啲燶燶嘅豆味,再飲真啲似豆豉味,湯頭唔算厚,湯頭層次豐富,係大人概口味,油潤嘅程度未必為所有人接受,我卻認為係鬼才。正因為佢層次多,試咗幾啖都好似未試清佢完全嘅味道,要你一試再試。焦香油密密耐住熱力,食到最後仲熱辣辣。雖然佢咁好味,但個湯堅油,飲哂可能傷身。

整體感覺可以講係刮目相看,意想不到。佢嘅拉麵價錢高,性價比唔高,但勝在獨特,有創意,佢嘅味道响第二度食唔到,估唔到一風堂都偶有佳作。

One of the things I appreciate most about my move to Hong Kong is the shopping. Well, not just the shopping, which is pretty amazing, but the extra time that shops are open in Hong Kong compared to my previous home in Australia. One of the things I appreciate most about my move to Hong Kong is the shopping. Well, not just the shopping, which is pretty amazing, but the extra time that shops are open in Hong Kong compared to my previous home in Australia. I still marvel that I can be wandering around huge shopping centres at 10pm on a Sunday evening and almost every shop is still open and filled with Hong Kongers. There are a lot of shopping centres too, practically everywhere, and where you find people in HK, you find restaurants!

The International Finance Centre is the second tallest building in the city and is pretty easy to spot and houses one of the many 'luxury' shopping centres in HK. IFC is one of my 'go-to' centres and is conveniently located in Central HK, close enough to my work and apartment that I'm there quite often. Apart from being a kick ass place to hang out, there are a heap of great restaurants spaced out through the ultra modern site, including a Tim Ho Wan and one of the many Michelin Starred Lei Gardens (post coming soon).

With a mix of casual and formal dining options, we'd been eying off Gogyo for some time, a sleek and ultra modern looking Japanese restaurant specialising in ramen. It hadn't made it's way to the top of my 'must dine' list because I'm not a huge fan of ramen, even though Japanese is in my top five favourite cuisines. We were wandering around the IFC one night contemplating dinner when we just happened to walk by, and before we knew it, our feet (and stomachs) had made the decision for us and we were seated at a table.

Looking over the menu, I was pretty happy to see a heap of options that weren't ramen, while SC zeroed in on the pretty comprehensive selection on ramen that Gogyo was known for. The menu was pretty easy on the eye, with great descriptions of the food on offer, accompanied by little photos of the food.

Orders taken, our starter of 'edamame for the wise' was delivered. Covered in truffle salt, the edamame plate looked a little small and before too long, we'd smashed through the sweet little soybeans. The addition of truffle salt was a pretty inspired idea, and with the double tap of umami flavour making the usually addictive little beans even more so, it definitely left us wanting more..

We'd also ordered some 'hard shell, one bite tacos' with salmon and tuna fillings. The cute little tacos were out shortly after the edamame and the description of one bite was just about right. Presented with some spicy tomato puree and whipped avocado, the little bites looked super inviting. Smearing a little of the tomato and avocado, then finishing off with a squeeze of lemon, the fish tacos were a completely surprising delight. Perfectly balanced with texture and flavour, two tacos each were nowhere near enough to satisfy our cravings, but we had to move on as our next dishes were up.

I'd ordered some of the 'best bits' from the Gogyo signature menu, the Saga Wagyu steak, which was probably the most expensive item on the menu. I was immediately impressed with the presentation, with beautifully cooked wagyu drizzled with a sticky soy sauce and accompanied by beetroot chips, carrot and brussels sprouts. The medium rare wagyu was full flavoured and while not quite melt in your mouth, was pretty tender. The beetroot chips provided an organic and earthy flavour to the dish and the carrots brought in a little extra sweetness. I wasn't really sure what the brussels sprouts brought (apart from terrifying memories of my youth) and probably could have been replaced with something a little less blergh.

So far your probably wondering 'what about the ramen?', after all, we were in a specialist ramen joint! Well, it was time for the ramen and we'd ordered the house special, called the 'Four Seasons Ramen', which was indeed quite special. Described by Gogyo as a 'consommé ramen with wagyu topside', the ramen was quite special.

"Our chef is bringing the complexity of ramen soup base to a new level. First a combination of chicken bones, beef shank and vegetables is cooked for hours. Then a second soup base is created with minced beef, beef Achillies tendon and vegetables. The two soup bases are combined and further cooked for hours, resulting in s simmering gold consommé base"

Yep, it was a pretty delicious description of the ramen and the flavours certainly lived up to expectation, with a deep and complex soup that was intensely flavoured. The addition of the wagyu beef, asparagus, mushrooms and parmesan cheese were just a bonus.

Our first trip to Gogyo had been a flying visit and we'd not really sampled too many of the delicious looking menu options, but we've been back since. I have to say, so far it's our favourite Japanese restaurant in HK. Quick, easy to access and lots of great and reasonably priced options have made Gogyo a 'go-to' restaurant when we're at ICF.

It's a cozy spot with all seats wrapped around a kitchen area in the middle of the space. It's always interesting watching Japanese chefs in action, they are so precise in their movements and techniques. We also loved the service, with a heap of wait staff buzzing around the restaurant dropping off meals and beers with a smile.

And all in a shopping centre!! What more could you ask for?

you know , last time i ordered a eelfish and cod dish i found both of themwere cold , i complainted and they re- made for me but i found perhapsthey just put it in the microwave to pre-heatthe fish were turned into very soft and the rice was hot , i was sure it was done bymicrowave, but they told me they had re-done , firstly i waited the order for half hour but how come the re-made for me just took 2 minutesi was really felt bad on that , they didn't say sorry and billed me HK$228 . You know, I'm surprised this place doesn't have the crazy lines that its neighboring restaurants have. I really really like this place - it's a really comforting space with really nice service and delicious food.I think first off their ramen is solid. I wouldn't say it's out of this world, but something about a simple bowl of noodles with a creamy milky broth does a lot of good for my mind (especially on these weird melancholic foggy days Hong Kong has been plagued by for the last couple of week

I think first off their ramen is solid. I wouldn't say it's out of this world, but something about a simple bowl of noodles with a creamy milky broth does a lot of good for my mind (especially on these weird melancholic foggy days Hong Kong has been plagued by for the last couple of weeks) but my favorite dish are certainly their skewers. Their assorted skewers are truly delightful and the portions of the skewers are generous enough to leave a very satisfied feeling in your stomach. 
The design of the restaurant is great with some very closed off comfortable spaces that are fantastic for long catch ups with friends. Whenever I have a friend coming into town that I havent' seen for a long time, I always think of Goygo because the seats are comfortable and the spacing between tables are also pretty decent so there's not much noise even during after office hours (even on a Friday night!)

Arriving just before noon on Sunday, we had our choice of restaurants in IFC. These days, it's hard to eat at a restaurant in IFC for under 200 per person.

Seating
A bit strange, with 1 booth, 3 high tables, lots of bar seats and 2 private rooms. They had a kids high chair but it was actually too low for the high table until they put it on top of one of the chairs!

Food
The order of the menu is odd (drinks up front) and layout makes it difficult to read.

For a ramen place, there looked to be only 3 types of ramen - Comment was "this looks like Ippudo" - Which I didn't find out was true until the bill came!

We ordered:
Special Curry Ramen - First time we had eaten a black curry ramen. They kindly offered a disposable bib, which was definitely needed. Good curry flavor without being too salty and quite a large portion with a side of rice to eat with the curry sauce.

Shio Ramen - Nothing special. Actually, I didn't like it as much as Ippudo and it was a bit of a small portion.  

5 type yakitori - Definitely the highlight. Not cheap at $178 but there were 2 of each item (egg, bacon & avocado, beef, salmon, beef with enoki mushroom) and all of them were perfectly done. Usually, beef with enoki has the enoki underdone (raw flavor and stringy), but this rendition I could bite in half.

Service
Excellent. Almost nothing required asking. Kids bowl and utensils, sharing bowls, wet tissues and water refills all came automatically.
