I came here for afternoon tea with a friend at around 4PM. The shop is brightly lit and pretty empty for that time period. The table furnitures don't match at all, but overall the shop provides an okay ambiance for a cafe. You have to order at the cash register first and carry your food tray to your own table. For food, they will usually give you a table number and deliver the food to your table when it's ready.
The afternoon tea sets are reasonable at around $20-$30 HKD. I ordered the peanut butter toast with hot milk tea while my friend ordered the kaya toast with milk tea. The drinks were ready very soon after we placed the order so we carried them on a tray to an empty table. We waited patiently for our toasts to come and after about 10-15 minutes, one of the staff brought them to our table. The toasts were small at around 3 inches in both width and height. It has been cut in half for easy handling. The toasts looked toasted, but it wasn't hot enough so the texture was dry and hard. The peanut butter slathered was way too thick for the amount of toast provided so the entire sandwich was too dry to eat. Even downing the milk tea didn't help alleviate the dryness. The milk tea was a bit sweeter than hong kong style milk tea and it didn't help that sugar was already added so I can't control the sweetness.
Not impressed with the quality of food here. I rather go to a cha chaan teng instead.
