It was quite packed even though we got there after 9pm. I think this is because all the Chinese tourists are still in town. But anyway, food was really surprisingly good. My boyfriend, who is very very picky about his pad thais, was very impressed with their version of pad thai. He said they got the combination of salty, sweet sauces exactly right and he finished it super-quickly. Only disappointment was that the portion was quite small. I had the garlic toast ($15) and minced pork basil leave rice with an extra egg- and that was really, really good. It had just the right kick in spices. We shared a coconut chicken spicy soup and it was honestly one of the best I've tried in HK (and I've tried many). It was very flavourful, and though it appeared a bit watery in the begining (and I was afraid the taste would be diluted), it turned out to be really spicy and sour. It had good portions of chicken meat and full cherry tomatoes....and best of all, there wasn't any annoying lemongrass shreds to fish out. Most of the other soups at other restaurants I've tried leave in all this lemongrass that really gets in the way of drinking the soup cleanly.

We had to wait longer than usual (maybe 20 minutes) for our food, but the restaurant was quite busy, so I guess the kitchen was up in a stir.
Overall, really impressive and we will definitely go back! Prices are really reasonable, with the noodle/rice dishes not being any more than $35.

又去大坑覓食, 今次選擇食泰國嘢. 最開心見到我最愛既生蝦刺身, 而且只係$40, 勁抵食. 蝦都幾新鮮, 好想再叫多碟, 不過要留肚試其他..冬陰公湯 - 唔太辣, 份量有大約4碗, 有兩隻大蝦, 唔食得辣既人都飲得抄貴勻 - 味道都ok, 但份量較少海南雞飯 - 飯唔夠入味, 但雞肉都算嫩滑泰式拼盤 - 有三款小食各四件: 春巻 + 魚餅 + 蝦餅, 入口唔太油, 唔錯叫咁多嘢食埋單$300都唔使, 呢間一定會再嚟食

龍眼冰: 初時覺得幾清甜, 味道仲唔知點解有點台式「冬瓜茶」的影子 (!?), 但愈飲又愈覺得太甜... 不過好在 d 冰夠多, 加埋「溶冰」就甜度剛好.


串燒沙爹豬 (半打): 只係用長牙籤串住無醃過的切條豬扒, 咬落好韌又無味; 醬汁帶點椰味, 少少辣, 唔算惹味, 但既然豬肉本身無味, 蘸嚟食較好都唔出奇吧.

炸海鮮扎: 賣相有點似「貴庚」(即係乜: http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1955314), 食落原來係腐皮包住疑似魚肉膠, 帶少少五香味, 不過質地粉粉腍腍, 乜咁似(麵粉)魚肉燒賣?
夾多兩件亦發現碟底油漬勁多, 唯有放棄吧.

「蝦長炒飯」: 英文寫 "shrimp paste", 應該係蝦醬炒飯吧? 嚟到卻變了一堆濕濕腍腍又無蝦醬味的飯, 旁邊則圍滿配料 (醬油豬肉, 泰式臘腸, 鹹蛋, 生洋蔥, 生豆角粒, 辣椒粒及青蘋果絲), 零「炒」過的痕跡喎, 未 ready 就拎出來 serve?
好啦, 自己將配料撈飯吧, 食落又唔係太難食, 但呢味同小朋友將未做完的勞作求其拎去當美術功課交一樣, 誠意負分, 100 個 thumbs down!


「泰式凍茶」: 朋友快飲晒佢杯龍眼冰了, 我 order 的「泰式凍茶」就食晒成餐飯都未嚟, 朋友就幫我追單, 而得到嘅回覆係店員死撐「嚟緊0架喇, d 茶啱啱得咋嘛」, 跟住半分鐘內「啪」一聲「擲」杯茶俾我, 再踩朋友一腳又唔講 sorry -- 想點?
味道就同天后嗰間的 (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2065056) 差不多, 一樣帶點「涼粉」及不知名 spices 的味道, 不過 aftertaste 怪怪的, 睇嚟泰式奶茶都係唔啱我的了.

另送了是日糖水: 係椰汁黑糯米, 雖然質地好稀, 黑糯米奇少又硬硬的, 不過起碼味道係正正常常的椰汁味, 成餐飯最好食睇怕係佢了.


食物唔得, 招呼就唔使講啦, 每人丟低 $65 立即要轉場溝貨, 呢度真係請我都唔想再來.

都好耐無試過食泰國嘢食得咁唔滿意, 莫非被自己地頭的泰菜館寵得太壞了?

Had dinner with some family friends at this Thai restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes, 1 appetizer, 1 Tong Yum Soup and 2 desserts. The grapefruit salad was kind of dry with not enough seasoning..............The Soup is GREAT. I must say, it's not 清汤 type, but it tastes really refreshing and a little bit spicy, good for people who like herbs and lemongrass but not too into spicy food.Then the 3 dishes are : Grilled pig-neck ( quite good, esp. the sauce. I must say, it's not 清汤 type, but it tastes really refreshing and a little bit spicy, good for people who like herbs and lemongrass but not too into spicy food.

Grilled pig-neck ( quite good, esp. the sauce. But the dish is a little bit cold when served)

Salt- grilled fish ( quite good too! the skin of the fish is crispy, very fresh and 滑,新鲜热辣)

Stir fry bean sprouts with salty fish ( too watery, and not 香 enough)


Good dinner for the price, can try other stuff during next visit
I totally recommend this Thai restuarant in Tin Hau!

六月上旬‧仲係一號波!打風,跟冬蔭公有何關係?查實是沒有的。那又為何要將如斯押晒韻的爛gag搬來做題目?我都唔知,呢度興卦?打風不成,自然是橫風橫雨。在這邊看酒,出來之時已經大雨得寸步難行,就求其選一間店子,吃飯加避雨。選了這裡,原因簡單,只因為未試過。午餐選擇不少,各式炒麵飯連飲品是36元,湯粉連飲品就25元,不收加一,是便宜的價錢。本來會吃海南雞飯的,但天氣熱熱的,總想吃點能刺激胃口的食物,就要了冬蔭功涉粉。冬蔭公不辣,只是微酸,不太對辦。河粉非常厚身,不討好。配料可豐富,蝦仁、草菇、魷魚等等。望隔離檯的雞飯,賣相頗不錯,看來是選錯食物了。走的時候,雨仍未停,但有下場要趕,濕身也沒辦法了。P.S. 咁食泰式湯粉跟南拳媽媽有咩關係?無架!可能覺得求其加首歌的MV,感覺勁一點,行出來都有信心一點,又好似不拘一格一點,卦?

昨天,跟男朋友行完花展,想食泰國野, 便找到天后的泰味屋, 位置比較難找,地方又比例細,男朋友初初都猶疑進不進去, 但都行到啦,咪試下啦...叫了一個冬蔭公湯,青咖喱雞飯,炒蜆,串燒,龍眼冰冬蔭公湯 ($58): 不太spicy,但重奶香又不搶冬蔭公的酸味,不妨”啜”下香矛香葉,更青香!青咖喱雞飯 ($3X):樣貌普通平實,易入口但慢慢滲入辣味,驚喜!仲送埋龍眼冰!!炒蜆 ($58):不是食蜆是食它的汁,正串燒 ($48):燒得非常靚仔,火喉十足,又大件,不過我提議不要加太多汁,會COVER 左佢串燒的味道同食不到佢的火喉!!驚喜!!!同埋同的便宜!!!

The restaurant is small, long and narrow, with about 4 foldable tables one behind another. The owner seems to be running the show by himself, with a few others in the kitchen cooking and cleaning dishes. Service was attentive despite being a one man band, and water was promptly refilled.

We ordered the green papaya salad $38, pad thai $48 (I think), prawn cakes $48, and a lime soda. The papaya salad was very spicy with a tangy zesty taste, but really, it was just 2-3 mouthfuls for the 2 of us each. The pad thai was not greasy at all, had a few small prawns, some fresh beansprouts and some bean curd and egg. The portion was slightly larger and fulfilled our needs. The prawn cakes were crispy gold brown on the outside, with a fluffy coat, and the prawn had a dense, spongey texture to it, which we greedily dunked into the 2 sauces provided.

For desserts they only had coconut milk layered cakes left (the green ones). They were served warm, but the texture was a little too gooey for my taste, I like them firmer and chewy. But still, not bad. I would have liked to try the mango and sticky rice pudding next time.

10% off for takeaways which we saw quite a few people come in. Overall, not bad for the price and quality of food, but I guess in terms of portions, you get what you paid for.

朋友介紹的泰式小店,家庭式經營,價錢平,各款食品三四十元已有交易,可以一試。冬蔭公湯:味道微辣,蝦味重。炸蝦餅:大大件,夠彈牙,OK。炒蜆:都幾大碟,味道一般喇。泰式炒金邊粉:材料有蝦、蛋、芽菜、花生醬香料等,醬料混和後味道很香,芽菜亦帶點清脆口感,好食。香葉肉碎飯:豬肉切碎後加入辣椒等香料製作而成,味道微辣香口,唔錯。海南雞:雞味普通,肉質滑度一般。千層糕/芒果黑糯米:千層糕煙煙韌韌,帶點椰汁香味;芒果黑糯米較平日吃的味道淡一點,還好,不會太飽滯。

以前跟同事經常去此店幫儭,喜歡她可以一點前埋單有10%Discount;而且其食物也頗為正宗泰國風味,只不過因為地點比較隱蔽,不是那樣容易找到,加上店內座位不多,所以我們覺得早點去用餐會有更多好處。中午有各種咖喱(豬牛雞)午餐,也可以叫海南雞飯餐,一般只是HKD35-到HKD45不等,加飲品要另外HKD5.-;而晚上有三到六人的套餐供選擇,我記得的有一個四人餐會提供海南雞半隻,泰國煎魚,咖喱豬(牛和雞也可以)泰式炒飯等等,也只不過是HKD400不到的價錢。正因為店內空間不多,所以難免有機會跟鄰枱的人客會有機會碰到,所以此點必須要小心。綜合來說,以此價錢所得到的食物水準已經是在同區中物有所值了。而且店內人員禮貌周周,值得我們去支持支持她們。

一行8人去左呢度食dinner雖然比較迫, 不過d 野好好食我地叫左幾碟炒粉,通菜,冬蔭公湯粉,泰式雞飯 .... 仲有幾坏龍眼冰, 埋單每位$35wa....咁抵又好食既晚飯去邊到搵最值得一讚就係服務態度, 好到不得了!!!!! 一定要再去!!!!

位於回家必經之路的小店, 十分不起眼, 但食物的質素比很多泰國菜的食店好多了。原本被它的門面所影響加上附近實在許多食店可選, 它開了好幾月也未去過。有一次, 心血來潮進去, 被食物的美味完全征服, 現在它是我們兩小口的食堂、加餸必選、招呼朋友的好地方。首先雖說店很小, 環境不太美, 但老闆卻是很和氣, 整天笑咪咪地,很有禮貌。必試菜: 生蝦刺身十分鮮味, 不過吃不了辣就不要叫了。 還有所有熱菜都十分有水準。包括咸魚炒芥兰 (真的好好味), 蝦餅, 微辣的魚餅, 炒硯, 足料冬陰公, 豬頸肉, 粉絲蝦煲等.....飯類: 推介香葉肉碎飯 (來我家的家务助理一直對午飯都沒有要求, 直至有次我買這個飯給她, 後來她居然主動要求再吃這個) 、蒜蓉豬肉飯 甜品: 選擇不多, 但芒果糯米飯好香好軟, 好吃得很。千層糕不是常有, 弄得熱乎乎地, 跟平常地方吃的不一樣, 十分美味。不足之處: 串燒、鳳爪不太好。最後是價錢, 簡直是物超所值。兩人吃飯, 一個炒飯加兩個菜, 每人$60都不用。十分推荐给大家, 因為我是希望他們長做長有....生意好, 那我就會持續有好菜吃。

Suggest to people who really care about the food itself rather than the decoration of the place they eat I ordered green curry and lime soda (Just $40 including drinks) and my friend ordered 冬蔭公 soup (around $50) and fried shrimp cake (around $50). Even the price is just like a fast food shop's price, the food they offered is really good...it's traditional Thai favour. The only one thing I suggest them to improve is the serving size (especially soup and shrimp cake) is too large. If they can cu

I ordered green curry and lime soda (Just $40 including drinks) and my friend ordered 冬蔭公 soup (around $50) and fried shrimp cake (around $50). Even the price is just like a fast food shop's price, the food they offered is really good...it's traditional Thai favour.

The only one thing I suggest them to improve is the serving size (especially soup and shrimp cake) is too large. If they can cut the size (and also the price) slightly that could be perfect. Also the shop iteself is not nice decorated.

正月三十‧晴 這裡是一間不起眼的泰式小店,是在乘巴士時發現的。看門面,作為一間泰菜小店,又幾入型入格,就找一個下午來吃一吃。 午市人客不少,是接近滿座的,可幸一人較易找位。餐牌都幾豐富的,一邊是湯河,另一邊是雞飯及炒粉麵。花多眼亂,見天氣熱熱的,想吃到香口的食物,就來個泰式辣炒河。 只聽到廚房熊熊有聲的,炒河轉頭拿出來,熱辣辣的,單看就知下了切片連籽的紅尖椒去兜炒的,聞起來已經辣勁迫人。吃起來河粉炒得乾身,夠鑊氣。吃起來果然夠辣,配料簡簡單單,就是切粒的豆魚及肉碎,口感爽脆,吃起來夠味道,很不錯。這碟炒河,三扒兩撥已吃清,有水準。 只見隔離左右的食物也對辦,如冬蔭公、青咖哩、肉碎煎蛋角、雞飯等,再來要試試其他的菜色。 連一杯青檸疏打,埋單40蚊,吃得滿意,會有下次的。
