Whenever I can't decide to have Thai or Vietnamese food, I come to this place in the wet market, since it's cheap, convenient, and the food is pretty good. The Viet and Thai dishes are distinct from each other, none of this fusion business, which means I could get a rice paper spring roll and a pad thai at the same meal. Most dishes on average taste great, especially the curry and the rice/noodles dishes. There are lunch time deals which are very affordable too. The only disappointing dish so far
Most dishes on average taste great, especially the curry and the rice/noodles dishes. There are lunch time deals which are very affordable too. The only disappointing dish so far was the papaya salad, which just tasted weird, not exactly too salty or anything like that, just had a funny flavour, can't put my finger to it.
A lunch meal with a chicken curry, prawn rice paper roll (made by the female owner, not the Viet chef, so it was a little too bulky and therefore tasted too leafy without the right balance of prawn and crunchiness), tom yum (excellent! very spicy too), salted fish and chicken fried rice, pad thai, and papaya salad, 3 ice cold coffees and another soft drink, costed $270 for 5 people. Great value.
