When talking kebab in Hong Kong, many would associate with wrap🌯 Indeed in most the Middle Eastern cultures, they are actually meat skewers served with bread or/and salad on side. Here in Acme, they of course serve it in an authentic way. Simple grill on charcoal. It looks simple but the flavour is beyond description. The charring meat🍖 aroma is just impeccable and you would always crave for it as if it wakes your inner ancient gene from the stone age. The meat is succulent and tender. The grill is something you can’t miss here 😜

This one is just the best shawarma I ever had. The roast lamb shawarma 🐑is rich in flavour and tender in texture. The jus mixed with the goat cheese cream 🧀 is heavenly delicious. Seriously, I can finish the flatbread just with this sauce. It is just the perfect dish for a cold winter day as it warms you from the heart🧡 And the grilled eggplant 🍆 is just insane as it is literally a charcoal perfume!

Amazing hummus in great texture. I like the hummus with some grainy texture instead of silky so as peanut butter to me. So this one is perfect for my liking👍🏼 Ordered their sourdough flatbread to pair as well. I mean how can you miss the bread when having hummus, especially the sourdough one from Zahir?! It is chewy with little bit tang and it means simply perfect💯

How can a meal be called completed without some decent dessert? The option here is not extensive but it is more than enough to satisfy my craving.

If you have tried @baked_hk banana bread🍌, you will probably order this orange cake or bookmark this post right away. It is just the perfect of its kind. It is smooth and rich with its dense texture. It is absolutely amazing to have a brownie like texture but a bit moister and without the cloying aftertaste. The little spiced pumpkin🎃 tang is just perfect. I would like the orange aroma to be more outstanding but still a 95 one already!

Not the first time eating this Hong Kong but the very first time to eat one that I enjoy👍🏼 Many out there are over-sweetened which creates a mis-perception to many Hong Kong people that Middle-Eastern desserts are mono-taste but that’s not exactly the case. This one is perfectly balanced on the sweet and nutty tastes. The crispy layers of phyllo dough are crazy. Scroll left for the sound 📣

Can’t wait to be back for its breakfast and hopefully dinner very soon🙏🏼 I am longed for their 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩 with a Middle-Eastern kick already😋

Love the charcoal flavours on the juicy chicken, grilled by chef Zahir. Flavourful lamb with a refreshing cream was appetising. The must-have hummus and Arabic sweet treat Baklava didn’t disappoint! A strong effort to begin with!

Booked online via their website for 11am for a weekend but the restaurant later emailed me and changed it to 10:30am saying we could come at 11 but their breakfast finishes at 11:30 if we don't mind.On the day of our visit we called the restaurant repeatedly around 10:30am just to make sure they wouldn't give our table away but no one picked up (we later realised this was not necessary because it certainly didn't generate enough buzz to fill the tables as many new restaurants in the city do now)

On the day of our visit we called the restaurant repeatedly around 10:30am just to make sure they wouldn't give our table away but no one picked up (we later realised this was not necessary because it certainly didn't generate enough buzz to fill the tables as many new restaurants in the city do now). Finally someone called back and the staff said their breakfast would be over at 10:45am instead of 11 and we said we didn't mind we will eat whatever menu was available when we arrived. Another staff called again within minutes to say breakfast ends at 11:30am but we cannot be late? Anyway we assured them we would arrive at 11am. So much confusion and so many phone calls over a breakfast. Totally unnecessary.

Food wise - they already sold out the steak option (they didn't know until after we ordered too) so we settled for the fried chicken burger and the hummus. Both were average and not as good as Baked. The real disappointment was the cinnamon tea - could not taste any cinnamon, just tasted like $45 worth of hot water with floating nuts.

Was so excited to try Baked's new branch but too bad it didn't live up to the expectations. Won't be back.

I decided to start the last day of the year off with breakfast at Acme! I was super stoked to hear that the founder of Baked opened a new restaurant so I couldn't wait to try! I made a reservation online for Acme, which is great because you definitely can't do the same for Baked. The staff recommended the Golden Milk to try, which is a turmeric drink made with oat milk, vanilla, ginger, rose water and honey. As a person who really likes ginger drinks, I loved this! I like that the turmeric taste wasn't too strong and that they used real vanilla beans (you can see the seeds!). 😍

The ice coffee on the other hand was really subtle and didn't taste very strongly of coffee at all. I think that's because they used grounds instead of freshly ground beans. I couldn't really taste the cardamom either, which was supposed to be brewed with the coffee.

I ordered the Green Shakshuka, which was cooked with spicy green tomatoes with squash and egg, served with sourdough bread. The sourdough from the Baked group needs no introduction, but I was really happy to be eating it here at Acme! The dish itself is quite spicy, but still quite flavourful! The egg was perfect, just set with a runny yolk. I'm not sure I like this version more than the regular tomato variation but I did enjoy this variation.

We also got this dish, which was served with their Sourdough Flatbread. The mushrooms were really yummy! It was marinated in spices and served with pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, harissa and tahini sauce. It went with the soft and pillowy flatbread really nicely! However, I thought the price was a little steep for just bits of veggies (as pictured).   

Overall, a lovely morning spent with delicious food at Acme! Can't wait to return for dinner once the dining restrictions get lifted, I would love to try the rest of their menu (especially the dips!). Congrats to the Baked group for opening another great restaurant! 💯

So freshing! Bulgar rice, eggplant and zucchini cooked in spiced tomato sauce served cold is so attractive and I salivated so much. The gentle kick of spice added kept me munching mouthfuls after another.

King mushroom kebab, stirred with tomato sauce with onions, topped with a runny yolk and my favourite cilantro!Served in a hot pan, absolutely perfect for a winter time. Also, sided with eryngii mushroom seasoned with cumin is quite interesting.
洋蔥等的蔬菜在番茄汁中煮過後,再配上流動的蛋黃,和一般吃到的中東菜不同,沒有帶着強烈的香料,但也溫順好吃。

The flaked lamb shawarma has a great depth of flavour with different spices, and I loved how the goat cheese cream and spinach help alleviate the heaviness of the lamb meat.
其中一道我認為最帶中東菜色彩的菜式,碎了的羊肉在香料中醃製過,滿滿的香料香氣但不會過火。在旁菠菜和山羊奶芝士中和了羊肉的厚重感。

Came here on 1jan with egyptian friend to try middle eastern food seeing its from BAKED group!The food was average but okay one thing i would like to highlight is that the service could improve. i was brought to the seat at the bar table without any supervision for over 5mins. Although the bar guy did ask us what water we want, no one gave us any menu, we had to ask for the menu after 5mins of waiting. one thing i would like to highlight is that the service could improve. i was brought to the seat at the bar table without any supervision for over 5mins. Although the bar guy did ask us what water we want, no one gave us any menu, we had to ask for the menu after 5mins of waiting. There was a lady whose really nice, she showed me the way to the bathroom and even opened the bathroom door for me. There were pads and tampons and Aesop hand wash and hand palm in it which is really nice. After ordering, we asked to keep one menu to take our time to order more things, however the bar guy didnt let us keep it and took it away even the lady said we could keep it. We were confused.

Another thing i would like to highlight is the hygiene awareness of this place. I was seaten at the bar table in front of the baklava (a sweet dessert) tray, there was no plastic wrap on it whatsoever. During this covid times, i find it unacceptable. If my friend or I have the virus, anyone who orders the dessert will be at risk, because we were simply chatting in front of it the whole time and its really close to us uncovered. (Feel like my saliva were flying all over the baklava... but we didnt mind coz we were right in front of it😂 otherwise we wouldnt have ordered this -> it actually tastes really yummy and we ordered twice😋)

Two of the kitchen staff looked miserable to hv to work on 1jan and had no smiles, they messed up our order twice and the main chef was saying to the staff “focus, focus, focus” more than one time.
