The other day my hubby and I grabbed a quick but satisfying lunch there. Here are what we ordered.
Samosa : $40/ 3 pcs
Their samosa is the reason I have to write my very first review in openrice. The crust was not very crunchy but perfectly flaky, you can easily cut it with a fork. The filling was nicely spiced, fluffy and flavorful. you can see the granules of spice and nuts in it. They are just so good that 3 days after that lunch, I still couldn't stop thinking about them.. its the best samosa I ever tried in HK.
Score: 10/10
Plain Naan: $20
properly crusty and chewy, with slight floury fragrance & sweetness. It's a proper naan.
Score: 8/10
Tandoori mixed grill: $140
it's quite a big portion enough for 2. There were chicken, fish and meat roll(it's actuar like a caseless chorizo, tasted). the chicken was finely spiced, quite tender, but not seasoned enough, I had to eat it with the house mint sauce which was very very delicious; I wasn't sure what kind
of meat was of the meat roll, it tasted like pork that is rare for indian cuisine, but it's the best of the plate, it was so flavorful & juicy, I loved it though my hubby thought it was too spicy to eat for him. The fish was kinda disappointing, it's textureless & flavorless, probably because of over marinating.
Over score: 7/10
We were quite satisfied with the service, the waitors were kind, the foods came fast, the table was very clean. I will definitely coming back again, maybe next time I'll try the curries.
