Passed by this corner few weeks ago and thought of trying out after reading the Star Street guide.
Came at 3ish on a Saturday afternoon. I was standing at the entrance/bar area facing the barrister but no one greeted me until I waved my hand and said “Hello, do U hv a table for 2 pls?”
One of servers then slowly came out and told me that there was no table inside and if we wanted to sit outside.
My friend and I had a look of the outside seat,hesitating for a few seconds and decided to stay even though the seat was a bit rusty.
The server then gave us menu and 2 extremely dirty cushion then walked away.
We then hesitated for another few seconds and still decided to stay. So I walked back to the barrister again and asked if they could offer us 2 clean cushions instead.
After waiting for a min+, the server came out again to give us 2 not that dirty cushions. I said thank you to the server but he had no response.
Its fine. We then sat down and went through the menu. However, after waiting for more than 10mins, no one came out to take our order.
Indeed, we wondered if this place doesnt offer table service but if so, the server should tell us in advance. Otherwise, it means the server is reluctant to customer services.
After giving this place for 3 chances in less than 20mins, we decided to leave.
To me, the quality of food always comes second. What matters the most is the customer service as it shows how much the restaurant owners care about their customers.
First time here, didnt try, and will never come back again.
