Mak Mak (已結業)

I was really confused when I arrived at Mak Mak - it had an external kiosk with to-go items, a hostess behind a podium, but no restaurant. Had to circle around it twice. Turns out there’s a hidden automatic door camouflaged as a wall - smart.The interior design has a posh hole-in-the-wall vibe - pretty clever, considering it’s in the Landmark. It was pretty hot - maybe around 25 - should really crank up the AC. The servers seemed inexperienced - didn’t understand my requests.We got the crab omel

While there is nothing much to say about their mains, we were very happy with the mango salad and the Thai Milk Tea ice cream dessert.... especially the ice cream!It is topped with a sprinkling of fried shallots. Totally unnecessary but makes for an unexpected combo flavours. The ice cream is well made, smooth and not too sweet. May come back just for the ice cream!

約咗朋友係附近辦事，到咗食飯時間見到呢間店人唔多，有位坐就過來了，嗌咗冬陰功湯、蝦餅和炒河粉，最後加個芒果糯米飯做甜品，冬陰功湯酸酸辣辣的，小辣係可以接受的，裡面配料好多，湯既鮮味係十足的，炒河粉係寬河粉，配菜亦都係好多，主要係醬汁搭配得非常好食，個甜品就一般般吧，中規中矩咁。

Finally I got chance to have a try on Mak Mak @ Landmark. It is a pretty decent Thai restaurant good for hanging out (It's chill but peaceful!).Given that I was dinning-in alone, I only ordered Gaeng Phed Ped Yang (Red Curry Roasted Duck) with rice (Total HK$229 including 10% service charge).  Indeed I had a difficult time to choose since there were a couple of my favorite food in the menu. This curry didn't disappoint me because it is really different from the Thai curry I tried in other places

前日係同事嘅生日 佢想食泰菜 呢間個位置方便 所以我地就揀咗係呢間度食 搞笑嘅係 呢間餐廳嘅外表好似 一間酒吧嘅水吧咁 你經過佢嘅時候 以為佢淨係買嘢飲 原來，佢其中一埲牆係自動門， 打開咗就會入到去餐廳呢個設計嘅唔好處 係餐廳入面嘅空氣唔好 食完嘢出嚟成身未 好似去咗打邊爐咁講番食物先，我地 四個人 叫咗 蝦餅 冬陰功湯 炒河 同炒飯佢每樣食物都好食既，不過份量唔多，所以下次去有心理準備要叫多d啦

突然lunch想食泰國野但又諗唔到邊度有記得landmark間makmak一直好想試平日當日book位4位唔難去到個餐廳搵唔到個入口 原來係有一個好似佈置的自動門 係有驚喜ge!!食物整體ok 份量唔算大 岩2人去食！

同同事慶祝生日，去左landmark食泰菜，間餐廳就咁睇會以為係只做外賣或賣飲品，原來內有乾坤，大門係飲品架度，幾特別。餐單唔算多選擇，無想食既生菜包。最後叫左蝦餅、冬蔭功湯、炒通菜同炒金邊粉。味道唔錯，有2隻大蝦蝦餅併青瓜沙律沙律好少得幾條ja，蝦餅都係得2塊素菜炒金邊粉配菜多過金邊粉，分量唔係好夠，偏細份。食完呢四樣野都唔係好夠飽，最後再叫多個菠蘿炒飯食物分量偏細，但服務唔錯，見我地自拍都好主動幫手影相。

Came here with a colleague of mine around 13:00 today. We were told we could not be seated until 13:30 even though more than half of the restaurant was empty! Appreciate that it was the middle of lunchtime but from a business point of view it really makes no sense.

Came here with friends to try out their weekend brunch (All You Can Eat AYCE) for $298 adults or with freeflow for $498 (child $180 age 4-12). Our party of 6 had reservations (highly recommended). Dishes came out in even order as they were ready. We ordered doubles of ones we wanted more of. Service was good. No complaints. Even offered a choice of desserts! Seating is plentiful. Let me preface that its 430am as I write this. I had Mak Mak for dinner tonight. Our dinner was a bit overpriced but fine. I tried the Lamb Curry and my wife had one of the soups. Once we got home my wife and I started feeling a bit off. We were both not feeling too well and a couple hours later we both developed diaherra.
