Dinner with JapLover. Rang the bell. Japanese server opened the wooden door and we stepped into a small space with 2 tables and a bar counter seating 8. Apparently it used to operate on a Members’ Only system, but is now open to public. Brightly lit with some natural wood accents.Server recommended these non-sake options.Food menu was actually from Nojo next door. Here’s what we had. Salad with a refreshing blend of silky Tofu, creamy Avocado and a sesame cream dressing. Kurosatsuma Chicken Breas

Food menu was actually from Nojo next door.
Here’s what we had.
Salad with a refreshing blend of silky Tofu, creamy Avocado and a sesame cream dressing.
Kurosatsuma Chicken Breast slices, perfectly seared, retaining a juicy, subtly sweet tenderness; complemented by chopped spring onions and fried shallots.
Steamed Clams infused with the gentle warmth of sake. Clams could have been more plump tho.
Soft Squid Tempura cooked to a delicate, feather-light crispness; the sake-infused batter added a depth of flavor.
Japanese Pork Skewer grilled to perfection, with a lovely caramelized exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior.
Ochazuke with tender crab meat and briny salmon roe served with dashi broth.
Sweet Potato baked till soft and creamy (so yummy), served with melting Matcha Ice Cream.
In summary: gem of a Japanese bar.
