吃過晚飯後,我們到灣仔酒吧街一帶飲番杯。選酒吧都是以氣氛為主,然後就是坐位的佈局和環境,食物和飲品的味道都比較次要。我喜歡清吧或是有註場樂隊但不太吵耳的酒吧,劈場還是留給年青人吧。去了幾家都是比較像餐廳,大大的枱,矮矮的凳,還要坐在桌子的兩旁,在強勁的音樂下應該也比較難說話。最後我們選了一間可以對角坐,又是梳化高椅,很酒吧格局的Maya.我們二人也看中Cookies and cream. 由Bailey's, vanilla syrup, cream and oreo cookies 組成。還有大大的忌廉在酒面,好咖啡感覺。我末見過這種雞尾酒,Baileys 調的只見過shooters, 友人見多識廣又有調酒師牌,說其實這也是常見的雞尾酒種類,只是不多酒吧有。這酒甜甜的,酒精度不高,樣子漂亮,很適合女孩子。也沒理由叫2杯一樣的,由於我說過未試過白酒的 Sangria, 所以友人點了一杯 Maya's Sangria, white wine,給我試一點。和我自家製的 Sangria 一樣,基本的有士多啤梨和檸檬, 但其他的材料就多了青檸和白蘭地。因為我家沒有白蘭地,所以自家製時沒有加。M

也沒理由叫2杯一樣的,由於我說過未試過白酒的 Sangria, 所以友人點了一杯 Maya's Sangria, white wine,給我試一點。和我自家製的 Sangria 一樣,基本的有士多啤梨和檸檬, 但其他的材料就多了青檸和白蘭地。因為我家沒有白蘭地,所以自家製時沒有加。Maya's Sangria 雖然充滿水果但水果味不重,白酒本身不算甜又加了白蘭地, 酒精味不輕,不適合我這些初級蒲友。不過冰冰凍凍樣子也甜美。

友人不夠喉,多點了一杯Blue Heaven. 一聽就知是漱口水顏色雞尾酒。由Vodka, Blue Curacao 桃汽水和菠蘿汁溝成。Blue Curacao 是成日見的雞尾酒材料,不知原味是怎樣的呢?整杯也是Vodka的苦,還是友人自己喝好了。

一直飲一直說話,我們竟然談到波若波羅密多心經。原來我還可背到大半篇。友人更厲害,可以逐句解釋意思。在酒吧談佛教道教,我們真是怪人。最後,我們變回正常,玩自拍。酒吧好處是自拍如果白痴,也無人會給你白眼。

This is the cheapest Christmas lunch I have had so far, but not that British, firstly the starter was quite oriental, containing sugarly sweet papaya.Then the mains came with baby sweetcorn too.I get annoyed when I order TEA and they ask if I want it with Lemon or Milk, because then the whole place dosnt feel that British, and tea is with milk traditionally.Anyway, just another option for people I guess.Overall, it was turkey roll with dates, gravy, broccoli, cauliflower, half baked/boiled potat

Overall, it was turkey roll with dates, gravy, broccoli, cauliflower, half baked/boiled potatoes and mash.
The mash was the pre-made ones where you add water to it.

The dessert was dense sponge with peel and currants and vanilla sauce, although it was meant to be brandy, I couldnt taste it.
I think I would only recommend the Christmas lunch to Hong Kongers, It is value for money since it is a five course for $98 (bread, starter, soup, main, pudding and tea).

日期:2008年11月19日相約同事午餐,佢帶我去一間bar度食,地方有d黑,始終都係飲酒食煙既地方,野食都唔係太ok.叫左3 course HK$68, 4 course HK$78,有salad, soup, first course and dessert我就唔要salad,蒜容包-好硬.要左cream soup-都好creamy下.印度咖哩雞飯:食既時候唔太辣,慢慢係喉嚨度辣上黎,好唔舒服.baked egg pudding:唔太甜,唔錯.熱奶茶:味道麻麻地.同事食既tuna salad,ok la.

在openrice看到灣仔有很多餐廳cafe都令人躍躍欲試,因為天雨關係,不想在大雨下尋尋覓覓,所以去了駱克道的MAYA,感覺很酒吧,但午市也有lunch set 提供,選了3 course($68),首先上蒜蓉包,餐湯,沙律,沙律很開胃,餐湯也不過不失,主菜我選了薯蓉焗肉醬,男友選了三文魚。兩者味道皆不俗,不是求其之作。可惜我與男友都是食量偏多的人,因此這個3 course吃完也不覺飽,這裡的lunch set如果女士吃應該很足夠,但男士郤很可能不夠充飢。不過裝潢漂亮,不收加一,挽回一點點分數。我想下次不是天雨的關係,應該不會故意再來了。

Ordered fish in creamy white sauce as the main dish, and cottage pie.
Both were four courses, so we were served the soup and salad on on rectangular dish in two square bowls.
The soup was potato soup, light but had potato flavour in it, similar to crisps!!
Not starchy at all.

The thai beef salad was the best, lean cut strips of beef mixed into a bed of mixed garden leaves. The sauce was a zesty tangy lime and garlic sauce.

Then to the main, both reasonable portions, tasted and presented ok.
The cottage pie just tasted like shepherd's pie.

Dessert was caramel pudding or something like that, but there was a light sponge on it soaked in sauce.

All in all, we were very full after that and enjoyed eating there.

soup-the color was between pink and orange, quite creamy, and thick. the taste was fresh.toast- french bread baked with buttersalad-should be a greek salad. with red chili, onion, cheese, veggie, the sauce was quite light!main course (either fish and chips or lasagna) tried both. the fried fish was not that good. the fish was not fresh, and the crispy part was too thick and a little bitter in taste. couldn't taste of the potato when eating the fries.the lasagna was better! the sause is not thick

dessert-cheese cake. it's a baked one with digestive buscuit as the base. and the texture of top is fair. the favour of cheese was not heavy. however, i like it generally! it would be better if it's softer! it served with cream and chocolate sauce!

話說星期二晚,再訪灣仔駱克道,事緣星期日意猶未盡。首站是maya,時為7 時15 分左右,已過了眾多酒吧的crazy hour,只有happy hour。此店燈光偏暗,但裝修型格十足。點了edelweisse 和murrphy,不消30 秒,侍應即端來,看著murphy 的泡抹緩緩地上升,心暗不妙,這間酒吧的拉酒技術認真求其是但,泡沫入口粗糙,入口一點也不順滑,差勁;edelweisse 帶微微的果香,有點似hoegaarden,但男友說似冇糖忌廉,酒味欠奉,所以只飲了一round 便走人,因為實在不掂!
