今日剛剛做完運動,便往fitness center 附近的餐廳吃午餐。這間餐廳有型有格,採簡約時尚的風格,貫徹品牌的形象。用餐區域分別有地面層和一層,樓下的setting 比較casual, 而樓上就比較有情調。午餐分別有兩個course 和三個course $198/248. 今日唔太餓,我和honey選擇了兩道菜. Sustainable Baltic salmon這三文魚份量十足。三文魚煎得表面金黃,Baltic salmon的魚肉比較緊實,加上全熟的關係,口感未算軟滑,但味帶魚油甘香。然而野米口感煙韌而乾身,帶一點咖喱風味,香口惹味。USDA beef burger這牛肉漢堡厚度和份量都十足。牛肉漢堡煎到半熟,內𥚃保留嫩紅肉色,肉味濃郁,肉汁亦豐盈,正!配上厚切蕃茄和半溶芝士和茄汁、溫軟的麵包,真正美式漢堡滋味。Valrhona double chocolate flan本以為這是邪惡的朱古力甜品,原來是朱古力奶凍。朱古力奶凍滑溜溜,朱古力味道濃郁,甜香而不膩口。Banana and peanut butter tart這花生醬撻比較厚身,富質感。尤愛那香濃的花生醬忌廉,香滑甜香,遇上軟腍香蕉,味道合拍得很,好吃但好邪惡。最後另加Cappuccino 作結。估唔到這cappuccino 咁大杯,而且口感幼滑,泡沫豐盈而細密,不錯。靜靜的坐著、慢嚐,看看品牌的精品,又呷一下咖啡,就過一個舒閒的下午。

造車撈過界做飲食業, Benz在香港也不是第一次, 之前Fiat在尖沙咀Mira也有其Cafe, 而Benz選擇了中環的核心地段作為其餐廳, 我對其有一定期待, 除了放在門口的GT63夠Sharp醒外, 我更希望裡面的食物質素, 能令我動心, 可惜從簡單的燒和牛配薯條來看, 就是差了一點點. 以澳洲和牛西冷作主調, 肉味和脂度平衡不俗, 雪花當然沒有日本的澎湃, 看上去大約M5的就是這個樣子, 只是配菜的薯條才是問題的來源, 油膉味比一般茶餐廳的更重, 是重覆油炸的後果. 只是午飯時間, 就要品嚐重炸萬年油的薯條, 我不太能接受吧! 特別是這個裡代表著Benz如此Luxurious的品牌.

The Mercedes me store is located at a prime location right at the heart of Central on Queen’s Road Central. It makes a really convenient place for lunch, as it’s also close to the MTR and other office buildings, plus a hike is not required.The restaurant has 2 floors, so it’s easier to get a seat at lunch hour even if you haven’t make a reservation in advance. It’s quite a comfortable environment to enjoy lunch.Today I picked the 2 course meal with add on sourdough with butter.The sourdough was warm, taste quite well. The scallop ceviche was quite nice mixing worth crunchy ingredients. The sour taste of it was also refreshing for summer.As for the main, I’ve picked the pork loin. I’m glad I added sourdough or else I would be quite hungry. The pork is good though.The environment was relaxing and you could easily enjoy your lunch for 2 hours, unlike other busy restaurants in Central that would be either too noisy or too crowded to stay in the place any longer.

趁著restaurant week,同班同事去附近的Mercedes 試下先. 平日行過皇后大道中,只見有部車放係店門口,但唔留意真係好難發現裡面有餐廳. Book 左1點10分, 我地1點5分已經到達,由於 lunch時間好緊迫, 我地一早已經寫好哂要食乜野,一到即刻可以點菜. 大約20分鐘後, 頭盤來了,我點左 熟紅柿,蘿蔔, 蒔蘿 (Vine Ripened Tomatoes), 呢個前菜係好酸, 熟紅柿,蘿蔔口感唔錯, 好開胃; 主菜係 燒焦的加拿大豬肉里脊 (Charred Canadian Pork Loin) 配沙爹胡蘿蔔,青豆,柑橘 (Satay carrots, green beans, citrus), 賣相幾好, 豬肉里脊肉味好濃, 好嫩, 配菜新鮮; 最後甜品清酒,味噌,北海道牛奶冰淇淋 (Sake, miso, Hokkaido milk ice-cream) 清酒雪糕好滑好香, 配上有咬口的粒粒果仁,好特別好味道! 呢份午餐質素好好,可惜等待主菜的時間太耐, 1點50分先上主菜, 等左40分鐘, 仲要催左幾次再等齊我地7份主菜先上, 我地要好快咁食完份午餐,完全享受唔到,好可惜! 希望餐廳上菜時間可以改善一下!
