要數跑馬地的美食,不得不提這家Oyster Talks!曾經在跑馬地居住幾年,認識主廚轉眼也十多年,每次去完法國都問,點解法國三星米芝連和市集,都冇咁靚嘅生蠔食,實在衷心敬佩!有時不禁要問,做餐飲是否真的要拿米芝連星星才算成功?多年來吃每一頓飯都心滿意足,蠔靚自不待言,其他如意粉、龍蝦湯、牛扒,甚至小小的蒜茸包都係用心製作,完全是身在巴黎Bistro的感覺,百吃不厭!常常見到不少超級巨星攜同家中老少來開餐,知道這𥚃低調不顯眼,有機會一定要來試試!

雖然唔係食遍全世界架生蠔,但係依間餐廳選用架法國生蠔係我食過最新鮮同肥美,回甘,甜味道,無得彈,鐘意食生蠔架朋友一定要去試。而且價錢相宜,唔算太貴,每隻都係$55-$58右左。熱食方面,相當不錯,但價錢偏高。

真心覺得好!餐廳服務態度絕對一流!有高級餐廳的對待!餐廳主打的生蠔品質實在遠遠超越任何一間5星級酒店的自助餐質素!十分鮮甜。其他食物的烹調手法亦能恰度好處!海鮮意粉軟硬適中,味道也很惹味!而最令我欣賞就係佢嘅龍蝦湯,真是非一般的龍蝦湯!好香濃嘅龍蝦味道之餘。。不會覺得煋!實在係未飲過咁好飲嘅!只可惜份量太少杯了!另一樣要讚的是羊架!煎得剛剛好!食落好多肉汁!正~還有,最後就是甜品~心太軟!未食過咁好食嘅心太軟!食完個甜品都已經3小時嘅用餐時間!食法國餐就是要慢慢品嚐。。。才叫享受

Came here twice but neglected to write about it the first time so will try to write both experiences in 1 go.1st visit was long ago on a eve w another companion. There were quite a few oyster choices, about 7 of them. Tasted relatively fresh (HK standards). Ordered some pasta, which tasted standard. Waiter was new but was quite pleasant. Overall, it was a ok experience, but the price didnt quite match the food. This is a restaurant that was charging michelin prices, but they deliver nothin

Waiter was new but was quite pleasant. Overall, it was a ok experience, but the price didnt quite match the food. This is a restaurant that was charging michelin prices, but they deliver nothing more than a market where they shuck oysters for you.

2nd visit was an ad hoc deal. Planned to go oyster island but it ended up closed. This was the only other oyster joint in the area so decided to give it a go. Walked in and asked about corkage, the waiter looked at the boss and the boss gave us an up down and said 500$. Apparently we looked like rich slobs or he simply didnt want us to dine with them (corkage is listed at 200$ and often waived for repeated customers).

Overall, it was subpar in various regards. Namely the price vs food quality and the service. Your experience may change if you become a frequent customer but i likely wont be back unless a change is made.

生蠔非常新鮮^_^,紅白洒wine選擇很多。店員介紹清晰和推介很好。食材新鮮和認真的煮。另我一試難忘。價錢ok。值得一試我之前去過很多的oyster bar 的蠔都無甘新鮮。這間oyster talk的生蠔是我食過的是最新鮮和品種最多最好味其它如羊扒paster都昰頂級的水準。

We went with two other friends Friday night. The place was very busy with a private function, so we had to be seated on the 1st floor. And that might be reason why the waiter was absent when we needed him.We ordered a dozen of oysters, from US - more creamer to France - more sweet, salads as entree. Oysters were oysters, they were ok fresh, but nothing special. For main, we had rack of lamb, spaghetti with king prawn, rib eye. However the spaghetti was undercooked (they cooked again after we complained) and the meat was clearly from a prolonged frozen ordeal with all the tenderness being stripped away. We had panna cotta and warm chocalate for desert. Both were quite good.When the bill came, we were shoked to see cost per head amount to 860. For what? We walked out with disbelief. Overall, an average quality dinner (both food and service) with above average price tag. I won't be going back anytime soon.

I am a huge oyster fan and whenever I crave for oysters, I would come to Oyster Talks in Happy Valley. It never occured to me that I need to write this review, but after reading the previous review, I must give this little store some written support & credit! First, they have a WIDE VARIETY of oysters year round AND they only sell the freshest ones. Yes, they can be pricey (HK$45 - HKD$100 a piece) but that's the price you have to pay to get fresh oysters in this city. We don't live in Australia

I am a huge oyster fan and whenever I crave for oysters, I would come to Oyster Talks in Happy Valley. It never occured to me that I need to write this review, but after reading the previous review, I must give this little store some written support & credit!

First, they have a WIDE VARIETY of oysters year round AND they only sell the freshest ones. Yes, they can be pricey (HK$45 - HKD$100 a piece) but that's the price you have to pay to get fresh oysters in this city. We don't live in Australia nor Japan nor West coast in the US. I'm sure you can find cheaper deals for Oysters somewhere in CWB in Hong Kong, but be sure to bring medicine with you because the chances of catching a stomach flu is HIGH with those places.

Anyway, the service at this little restaurant is friendly and they actually care about the food they serve you. For people that are looking for "deals" or places that are "低食", they should really consider Cafe de Coral (大家樂) or local cafes (茶餐廳).

For those of you who are oyster fans, please give this place a try! It's worth it. Their risottos are great too.

果然,硬加碼的四款,只有一款好味,即刻覺得......"賣唔出咩
,其中像貝殼的一款更是 "la" 口,詢問之下說是"蠔王"?!!
話吃前吃後都要飲啖白酒,我們兩個試多次,個口都係"la"好耐,開始不信任喇!
第三round,確實order另外新品種,又係要四款,每樣三只夠。奇怪,第一、二round讚許過的三款,encore咗,只加一個新品種??即刻肯定了他們的手法好有問題

講番主菜,"準媽咪"先吃羊架,賣相好好,也說好味。兩個Aunt見他食過讚才叫(穩陣!)點知等了超過30分鐘,說完全無味,要加鹽?!我都唔好意思,再加兩個pasta同rib eye大家食,pasta好普通,比較硬身,只係pasta都收$200一份,真係未試過咁貴

rib eye就一催再催,超過40分鐘先到,面已有點燶帶苦 (order 5成熟),也是普普通通,好多地方做得比她好,價又收得唔平$360一份。
其實,Oyster Talk 留意一下經營手法,不要殺雞取卵,價目定得合理點點,一定得到顧客口啤。此刻,起碼我不會興致勃勃再來一次,要好好好想食蠔時才再去!可惜!
好多都來多咗,又唔知咁貴

Came here with my girlfriend for my last dinner before leaving Hong Kong, so the mood was a little melancholy. We were in Happy Valley and she had a sudden craving for Oysters, and so here we ventured.The restaurant was small but the decor was simple and classy, following the new line of cozy yet upscale seafood bars that are en vogue at the moment. Came here with my girlfriend for my last dinner before leaving Hong Kong, so the mood was a little melancholy. We were in Happy Valley and she had a sudden craving for Oysters, and so here we ventured.

The restaurant was small but the decor was simple and classy, following the new line of cozy yet upscale seafood bars that are en vogue at the moment.

For oysters we put ourselves in the hands of our waiter. When our platter came, it included two briny ones (supposedly) South Bend from America, Malpeque from Canada, and two French ones - La Royale Cabanon and Gillardeau, which were creamier and in season. The oysters were good, nothing blew my mind. My favourite was actually Malpeque, which was billed as a briny oyster but actually had a wonderful creamy texture as well. A little downside was that we had to ask for vinegar, as they provided only the heavier sauce.

To accompany the oysters we both had some wine - I had the Sanctuary Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - it was dry and a tad acidic, and did not really accompany the oysters too well, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The missus had the Maimai Chardonnay, which she really enjoyed - it had a much more fruitier flavor with hints of berries

For appetizers I ordered the 48 month aged Iberico Bellota ham. Now this was a treat! It was a little costly, $300 for less than 100 grams, but it was worth it. It makes prosciutto look like crude oscar mayer ham. Even if you have had iberico ham before, this ham absolutely took my breath away. It really is quite difficult to describe, try it yourself! The waiter also recommended the garlic bread, so we got that too. It was very very good as well, with the bread being crispy yet soft, and the garlic aromatic yet not overpowering. The amount of butter they put is probably the daily calorie quota for a child.

For the main courses I chose fish (it was a seafood bar, right) - more specifically the grouper fillet, oven-baked with a black truffle butter sauce. It was also after the debacle of a dish at Cova that made me curious to see how this restaurant stacked up. My girlfriend chose the Australian Rack of Lamb. Both dishes were accompanied by seasonal vegetables. For the fish, it came out hot (restaurant one, Cova zero) and the skin looked well cooked and crispy underneath the sauce. However, while Cova over-cooked the fish, the restaurant undercooked it. I could feel the chewiness of the fish in spite of the vegetables and heavy sauce. Finally, the sauce was way way way too salty. Despite billing it as a truffle sauce, the gallon of butter they added completely rendered the truffles indistinguishable. It was a disappointing dish.

The rack of lamb on the other hand seemed great. I only tried a piece (despite her insistence I try more, I simply was not that hungry), and it was cooked well, but the missus enjoyed it immensely!

For dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee, and this was not very good at all. The caramel layer on top was too thick, and therefore made the dish too sweet. Comparatively, the custard base at the bottom was too thin, which made it not feel like a creme brulee at all. We ended up leaving half of it.

The appetizers were great, the oysters fine, the mains (at least for me) not so and the dessert pretty bad. Come here for some decent oysters, and perhaps the appetizers (the ham was truly delicious), but if you come for a full meal, don't expect to get your value's worth!

Somebody told me when i want to eat the good oyster must be choice this restaurant.It is becaurse they have many choice more than a lot of restaurant in hotel.Last week i when to prove.Although this restaurant is quiet small but they were gave me suprise.They have more then 15 kinds of oyster for you to choice.Chef is nice and professional.Pasty was good,aldente.Steak was good but if they can serve steak no slice much be better.Dessert was good becaurse is free even i was come firest time.Quiet
