在公司附近雲咸街的"Pastis",以法式Bistro自居,在香港吃法國菜,大多人覺得比較高貴.好像這一類Bistro,少之又少.自從上次在元朗比法國佬過了一"棟"之後,是夜與女友在中環看電影,便來此品嘗一下法式的家常風味.店方要求九點前交檯,因入夜之後,此店會變成酒吧.到時酒客多過食客了.食客差不多全部是老外,就算有本地人,也是聯同老外前來,全本地組合的話,只得我倆.店員也是外國人,其中一位女店主,看其外表,服飾,就知是法國人.但是在廚房內的廚師,全部是本地人.不過法國人打點的Bistro,加上地段之關係,應該大可放心.店內環境充滿著歐陸情懷.氣氛沒有高級餐廳的拘束,輕鬆自在,乘著店內播著的輕快音樂,拿著手上的酒杯高談闊論,才是正經事.牆上的復古法國海報,有如置身於彼邦,如果店外的不是舊中環警署的話.餐牌只是一張A4紙,沒有食物相片,夠簡單.所有菜式名字英法對照,晚上沒有set dinner,一律散叫,頭盤上的湯只有洋荵湯.之前在雪山吃出一頭煙,相信來到此,不會歷史重演.果然賣相比前者像樣得多,三塊半溶芝士的多士,將碗面覆蓋著,洋荵湯底清而不濁,而且鮮甜.並沒有由頭到尾的黑椒味.洋荵

餐牌只是一張A4紙,沒有食物相片,夠簡單.所有菜式名字英法對照,晚上沒有set dinner,一律散叫,頭盤上的湯只有洋荵湯.之前在雪山吃出一頭煙,相信來到此,不會歷史重演.果然賣相比前者像樣得多,三塊半溶芝士的多士,將碗面覆蓋著,洋荵湯底清而不濁,而且鮮甜.並沒有由頭到尾的黑椒味.洋荵湯的熱力,將芝士多士溶化,微脆帶chessy.這個洋荵湯價錢,只是比白朗峰的貴$10,質素就高出不知幾多倍.Escargots法國蝸牛.用蒜茸牛油焗,我不知道店方是否用上布根地之貨色,不過吃落香氣四溢,蝸牛肉身鮑滿,質感極彈牙.

主菜是Boeuf Bourgulgnon,即是燉牛肉,家常到不得了,在高級法國餐廳很難見到的一味,等如我們的蒸肉餅一樣.此牛肉連同蘿蔔,薯仔一起煮,感覺上有點似韓式的牛肋骨煲,這個燉牛肉醬汁濃香,牛肉稔熟得一咬即化,而蘿蔔本身已經很甜,索了肉汁之後更加好吃,薯仔亦一樣,不是盧布松的神奇到不像吃薯茸的薯茸,只是大大舊的薯仔,最基本,我極喜歡.這一道主菜只是$150,值得推薦.

女友要吃得健康,便來一個蒜茸大蝦沙律,份量多,用料靚,蝦肉厚而爽甜,蒜香味夠亦不大搶,沙律菜新鮮得爽脆,用來配搭的沙律汁,酸甜適中.

甜品上的是焗蘋果批,Fondant,Creme Brulee三樣,選擇不多,當然甜魔來到,見到選擇甚少,一定不能滿足,對我而言,是夜的洋荵湯,焗蝸牛,燉牛肉,已經十分之滿足,最後連甜品也不吃了.

法國五月將近來臨,首先在味覺上,感受了法國的家常風情.下個月便輪到聽覺,同視覺了.

A lovely little suprise how good this place is. No wonder this place is always full (lunch time as far as I know anyway) since it's opened. Great atmosphere, quality good at a very good price. 3 course set lunch was $98 + 10%. At this price or even higher, you get a lot of crap food in this area where the restaurants look far better than the food they serve. A lovely little suprise how good this place is. No wonder this place is always full (lunch time as far as I know anyway) since it's opened. Great atmosphere, quality good at a very good price. 3 course set lunch was $98 + 10%. At this price or even higher, you get a lot of crap food in this area where the restaurants look far better than the food they serve. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad to start, it was very nice, the lettuce was crispy and cold, sauce was just right, chicken was tender and juicy, not dry at all. My friend had the Cream Carrot Soup which was thick and creamy and can actually taste the carrot!

For main, we both had the Poached Sole Fillet with Butter Lemon Sauce. The fish was fresh and nicely poached. No excess water like some that I've had in other places. The sauce was quite light but tasty considering it's a butter sauce. Even the side dish of grilled eggplant and zucchini was done perfect.

For Dessert we had the Walnut cheesecake which was to die for even though I've never been a walnut person.

All in all, this is a great place to hang out, get fed with great food, and I'm sure their wine list must be good too. I'll try that next time.

I think this is my new favourite place for simple and tasty french bistro food. The menu is simple yet there's something for all. Portions aren't huge, but it's good value for money. The rillette are so satisfying spread over their crunchy baguette and washed down with a glass of wine. The escargots have just the right balance of garlic not to scare the neighbours away and the warm goat cheese salad is delicious. The seating arrangement is on the tight side and they could be a bit more generou

The seating arrangement is on the tight side and they could be a bit more generous with their cold cuts platter. My friend had fries with her chicken and they were a bit greasy.

It's not michelin star but it more than makes up for it with their friendly service and Parisan neighbourhood bistro atmosphere.

Thanks to Babedolphin! I finally got to try ou this restaurant! Actually, I really like the place here! The set lunch was really pretty good!We were first given salad - salmon salad, which was really nice with salmon wrapped around the salad!Then we had the main course. I went for the fillet and it was so good! The fillet was mixed with some cream/custard and it tasted so good! I wish they gave me more potatoes though!As for the pork chop my friend ordered, the fries were really good, but

We were first given salad - salmon salad, which was really nice with salmon wrapped around the salad!

Then we had the main course. I went for the fillet and it was so good! The fillet was mixed with some cream/custard and it tasted so good! I wish they gave me more potatoes though!

As for the pork chop my friend ordered, the fries were really good, but the pork chop was slightly hard. It was still good though and there were plenty of veggies on both of our dishes.

As for the dessert, I got the creme caramel and it tasted so nice! Each dish was nicely decorated and looked quite dainty.

Anyway, service was really good and the waiter was pretty cute! He even winked at us, haha


Also, he gave us bread in the middle and it was quite nice, a little bit hard though.

Would definitely come here next time~ good place for lunch and I liked it
Price is reasonable as well - $98 for 3 courses.

PASTIS is named after the famous French alcohol, much similar to the equally famed Pernod Fils. Operated by 2 French owners, it serves rustic and homely Bistro food and fills in the niche gap in the local market - the kind of unpretentious comfort food to be consumed in a relaxed atmosphere, providing the temporary relief we all need to forget and escape from that reality which looms when lunch time is over again. Running errands as well on this day, their ability to churn out food quickly during lunchtime holds an appeal personally.

*****SET LUNCH MENU - 3 COURSES, $98. 2 COURSES = $88.*****
SPINACH CREAM SOUP -
This looked pretty and evenly green throughout, the spinach flavour was light and enjoyable. The iron gives me stamina!
Slightly underseasoned, its a hearty but healthy soup du jour!
PORK LOIN WITH APPLE SAUCE -
Don't expect any pork crackling skin as its two pieces of skinless pan-fried pork dish with a bit of Apple & Gravy sauce. It came with very crunchy Fries, bits of vegies in French Beans and cooked Cherry Tomatoes. Nicely seasoned, the pork meat was sweetish and the dried herb mixture accentuated the dish together with the slightly oxidised apple influence. The pork on the surface appeared somewhat dry and took some effort with the working of my knife, but surprisingly in the mouth it was tender enough and even possessed real fresh pork taste. Not a dish that'll appeal to everyone, but personally I enjoyed it.
CREME CARAMEL -
This was a really good Creme Caramel - soft and not too gelatinised it held its shape perfectly and was very eggy, one of the best ones I've had recently. The caramel top and additional sauce has been tuned to just the right amount of sugary sweetness and paired well with the Vanilla influence apparent in the creme custard. Fresh berries on top with sprig of mint leaf finish the plating beautifully. It really had me swooning over it... This can also be ordered a la carte style for $45.00.
