最後仲有杯花茶

Overall 呢個價錢+呢個環境都算合理。唯獨是收嘢同上菜有D趕...同埋後面個檯人有D嘈。仲有, 要飲酒就記住自己帶ah。

今次是我第二次吃私房菜,Seven Thirty的食物質素很好,而且環境也不錯。非常喜歡這間餐廳的法式脆糖燉蛋,非常幼滑。而特式燒雞及羊膝的味道也很好,值得一試!至於挪威三文魚,味道一般啦!由於不收開瓶費,可以帶紅酒到餐廳享用。我們一行七人吃得很開心,有機會一定會同朋友再來。服務方面,可能只有一位服務員,她很 忙,所以服務OK啦!

家姐訂了枱在730幫我慶祝生日。之前去過一次,對730的印象都很好,食物可口,尤其是foie gras及我至愛的creme brulee都做得很出色; 服務也很好。今次的foie gras保持水準,外脆內軟....依然美味。上次已經看見那個730特式燒雞好香好吸引,今次有機會吃。未到我面前,已聞到香噴噴雞肉很嬾,夠juicy,很好吃。媽媽及家姐的三文魚都不錯。在等吃甜品的時候,突然侍應妹妹拿了一個插了蠟燭,特意裝飾的choco bombra.原來是她聽到我生日,特別安排。So sweet最後以一個creme brulee完結今晚的生日晚餐,perfect!之前因工作關係到了法國巴黎,在Gare Du Nord那邊沒有吃到好味的roasted chicken 及 creme brulee,真的有點失望。今次反而在香港吃到,終於都可說句C'est bon.

我個人覺得無乜誠意, 唔會再去亦唔會介紹朋友去. 非常失望!!!

和牛面珠賣相別致, 入口即溶, D薯蓉加埋D汁非常好味. 燒雞一向非我所愛但係呢道嘅燒雞係我食過之中最好味嘅!!!! 平時最鞋嘅雞胸居然又juice又入味, 就連我平時堅決唔食嘅雞皮亦全部食晒, 食唔出用乜嘢來調味, 但係非常非常之好味…….! 食到一半, 好細心嘅waitress姐姐奉上手套比我地可以盡情地連骨都啃埋.

甜品 : 法式焦糖燉蛋, 入口滑如絲, 甜度適中而上面嘅脆糖面同坊間厚厚的一層完全唔同. 係好薄嘅一層, 用匙羹一插發出好清脆嘅聲音……感到旣有破壞同時又有滿足感. 心太軟配雪糕, 一切開D朱古力湧出…..又係好好食…好幸福...岩晒我依個甜魔ar!!

茶 : 好香, 好香….聞好過飲.
最後, chef Andrew 出來同我地傾計, 仲出多每樣一份嘅甜品比我地. 多謝晒!!

我地一定會再來嘅!!!

呢次係小妹第一次寫食評, 因為呢間餐廳壓倒性好評, 覺得應該要有另一種聲音, 否則人人好似我o地咁, 食完先覺名不符實!!我生日, boyfriend 同我去慶祝.坦白講, 無呢度 D 食評講得咁好, 如果每位 about $500- 係咁o既水準, 我寧願用去 C’est Bon, 水準高出唔只一倍!! After finding Seven Thirty on openrice, we made our way to Tsim Tsa Tsui on Saturday night with high expectations. Despite a little hiccup with finding the restaurant (be careful, there is a block A and block B of the same building!), once inside everything came together wonderfully. With only four tables and a private room, the tiny restaurant is intimate but unpretentious, and the decor is simple but elegant. After finding Seven Thirty on openrice, we made our way to Tsim Tsa Tsui on Saturday night with high expectations. Despite a little hiccup with finding the restaurant (be careful, there is a block A and block B of the same building!), once inside everything came together wonderfully. With only four tables and a private room, the tiny restaurant is intimate but unpretentious, and the decor is simple but elegant.

I brought a bottle of champagne when I heard their corkage fee was only $50, and they were even gracious enough to waive that charge. The chilling took a little while, but I think they misunderstood my intentions to immediately chill it in a bucket of ice, and instead placed it in the refrigerator.

We ordered the $380 course (with $50 appetizer upgrade), and the $550 course. For the first course, we had seared scallops and the foie gras on toast. The scallops were seared close to perfection, the taste was poignant and subtle. The foie gras was fantastic! The cut of the piece (thin but more than adequate)was perfectly sized to beautifully juxtapose the crispy outside with the creamy center. I detected a hint of caramelization, but it might have been the refreshing apple underneath. Even the missus, who doesn't usually enjoy foie gras, gobbled the dish up enthusiastically.

Next came the soup and salads. The tomato soup was solid, but not spectacular. It was rich and creamy, but devoid of any special revelation - a safe bet. The salad was a little disappointing. The sesame dressing was actually promising, but the vegetables were not that fresh, and the roasted pinenuts (which I love) sparse.

The apple sorbet that followed was good, a refreshing treat that cleared the palate. It was not overly sweet but had a great fruity taste.

Entrees included their signature Seven-Thirty grilled chicken on a bed of vegetables, and braised wagyu on mashed potatoes with a peppercorn sauce. The chicken (a whole chicken!) was cooked perfectly. The meat was juicy and tender, while the skin was fairly crisp. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste, which seemed like a classic roast with Sichuan overtones, but my girlfriend found it a little too mainstream. The cooked vegetables were seasoned well, and complemented the meat. The braised wagyu was also cooked very well, it pretty much melted in your mouth. However, along with the plain mashed potatoes, the dish lacked flavour and zest, which made it a tad boring.

Desert was perhaps the most disappointing. Predictably, we ordered the only two desserts available - the chocolate bombra (心太软) and the creme brulee. The cake was extremely overcooked to the point that it became chocolate cake. The creme brulee was better, but not special at all. Also, although it was very filling meal, I was a little puzzled with the dessert portions. After being generous with all previous courses, their dessert plates were tiny! If I had to choose, I'd say that dessert is the one department that they need to improve on.

The service tried extremely hard to be helpful. They were attentive but not overbearing or jumpy. They were accommodating to most our requests, our food arrived promptly , and although not perfect, and I couldn't help but feel very grateful towards our hosts.

When the bill came, I was very impressed. They waived the corkage fee, and did not add any extra charges. When I left a tip, the waitresses were even kind enough to mention that I overpaid!

Perhaps I have a soft spot for these small restaurants, but the amicable service, warm decor and good food will definitely have me returning. I hope they change the menu occasionally though! Come here for a relaxed date or evening out with friends, I definitely recommend it.

Went there last night after reading much of the comments here, it's as good as expected. Ordered 2 sets with gf and the food is good. Foie gras is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's good and the Sea Scallops is as big as imagined. The soup is good. A special mention of the "Passion Fruit Fizz ", it's good. Main dish is "和牛臉珠肉" and "烤鵪鶉". me and gf didn't know how to eat the "烤鵪鶉" .. =.=but the 和牛 is very good, tasty and tender. Overall it's good and definitely will go back in

This is the first time I write something on OpenRice. I feel like I am obliged to balance the other over-whemingly good comments from the others. Restaurant decor, ambience and service are ok. Restaurant decor, ambience and service are ok. The building that it is located in is indeed a bit scary. The most important of course is food and it is really so-so.

There were 2 of us - so one had scallop and one had foie gras as starter. Scallop was ok, foie gras was awful. The sides were burnt and I almost suspected it was deep-fried, instead of pan-fried. Cream of spinach soup was good. Main-course: the famous chicken and lamb rack. Chicken lived up to its fame, really yummy and juicy, although it didn't feel french. Lamb rack was a disaster, it was cold and pretty tasteless. Dessert was good - creme brulee and chocolate pudding. Although the portion of the chocolate pudding was ultra-small.

Overall for $420 per set, there are many better and more decent places.

一頓難忘的生日晚飯為了男朋友生日, 到處找地方慶祝. 最後見到這間私房菜在Open Rice 有好的食評, 決定一試.果然有驚喜!! 老闆兼大厨- Andrew 以客為本的服務態度簡直係一百分!!!由於本人一心想俾男朋友一個難忘的生日, 所以早一星期開始不斷Email俾Andrew, 了解, 安排Menu. 連我自己都覺得煩! 但Andrew不斷給我跟進. 到當日, 食物百分好味賣相吸引! 一頓難忘的生日晚飯


為了男朋友生日, 到處找地方慶祝. 最後見到這間私房菜在Open Rice 有好的食評, 決定一試.
果然有驚喜!! 老闆兼大厨- Andrew 以客為本的服務態度簡直係一百分!!!


由於本人一心想俾男朋友一個難忘的生日, 所以早一星期開始不斷Email俾Andrew, 了解, 安排Menu. 連我自己都覺得煩! 但Andrew不斷給我跟進. 到當日, 食物百分好味

Andrew 好nice, 2 位servers也好有禮貌, 好專業! 我們最愛soup, main course- 牛面珠, 菠蘿sobert & dessert: Crème Brulee & Chocolate Bombra with Vanilla Ice-cream.
唯一美中不足係: 原本我已安排 & email 俾咗我和男朋友分別食咩嘅menu, 但當日又再由頭盤至甜品問一次邊個食咩.咁就少咗啲驚喜! email 時話有紅酒, 仲俾埋價錢, 但去到話無賣酒類飲品.不過只係小事!


我和男朋友當晚食得好開心! 多謝Seven Thirty 的 用心款待!!

有機會一定再來!!!

一百分的晚上找來這家法國私房菜,為好友慶祝生日。論裝潢,這兒偏向簡單 乾淨企理,有一間容納到八人的VIP房。自攜一支零三年的波爾多紅酒,慶幸好友喜歡。八個course的晚餐,是有前菜和主菜因應價錢而有異,其餘的course如湯及甜品,不同的價錢選擇依然一樣。湯點了南瓜蕃茄忌廉湯,南瓜味香濃,好飲得想多要一碗。前菜我點了香蒜芝士焗蝸牛,口感和味道比預期的好。主菜點了紅酒燴羊膝配野米飯,羊膝肉質鮮嫩,個人對野米飯一般,未敢批評。友人點了該餐廳的特式燒雞,烤得香味撲鼻,向侍者取手套後搶吃,味道很好,雞肉沒有over baked,吃掉一整隻絕對沒有問題。甜品點了我最喜愛的crème brulee,這裡的crème brulee微甜,剛剛好,要是太甜會很膩。花果茶,香和甜,為整個晚餐劃上句號。服務很好,兩位女生也很有禮貌,反應也敏捷。和好友聚在一起邊吃邊回顧當年在外的輕狂,高興至極。四個人吃飯,結帳一千五百七,不計壽星女,每人五百多。祝妳生日快樂。

We went there on last Sat evening for our anniversary. We ordered a wheat feed pork and lamb as our main courses. There is totally 8 courses in our dinner costs $8XX in total. We are glad that the food quality is good. I love especially the Pork which is different from what you have outsides. Of course the dessert is so nice! I love the creme brulee and chocolate cake. Excellent! Finally we do recommend some improvement on the services. I hope the buckets of the wine would not be put on the grou

首先送來的是一小杯的welcome drink – 士多啤梨特飲. 喝到士多啤梨籽, 也嘗到是加了梳打水或汽水的, 清新開胃. 貪飲的薑餅人自行叫了兩杯西班牙紅酒, 可惜我病了不能嚐酒.

跟著有兩道前菜, 分別有輕煎元貝王配鮮蝦汁和香煎法國鵝肝拌青蘋果黑醋汁.

元貝王被輕煎後呈微暖, 外面少少焦黃, 肉嫩多汁, 跟鮮甜蝦汁吃更顯鮮味
.

香煎法國鵝肝拌青蘋果黑醋汁也十分美味, 鵝肝外脆內嫩, 跟著法包多士和酸酸的青蘋果片吃可減輕油膩感
.

接著就是法式海鮮湯, 鮮味濃甜, 可惜是夜沒有麵包拌吃.

是時候來碟沙律清一清吧 ~ 澳洲雜菜沙律配秘制汁 ~ 這沙律沒有甚麼特別, 也吃不出秘制汁的奧秘, 哈哈, 相信也olive oil 加醋等等啦!


這晚名為Special X’mas Course是焗聖誕鵪鶉配紅梅汁, 鵪鶉每人一隻, 切開兩邊上, 鵪鶉頗大隻, 肉則鞋了點, 又乾了點
, 惟沾上開胃微酸的紅梅汁搭夠吧!

吃主菜前送來菠蘿雪芭清一清口腔, 味道來得自然清新.

主菜有澳洲M9和牛柳配雜菌汁和燒皇帝蝦配香蒜牛油汁. 牛痴薑餅人當然吃牛啦, 我就選擇我至愛的海鮮.

M9和牛柳比想像中失色, 肉雖嫩但油脂不多, 所以未致於甘香味濃, 肉汁也不多, 有些失望
.

燒皇帝蝦很大隻, 肉爽鮮甜, 蝦頭也有不少膏.

甜品各選一, 分別有法式脆糖燉蛋和朱古力心太軟配香草冰淇淋. Crème brulee面焦脆內很香滑, 很不錯
. 反而朱古力心太軟雖有流心, 但朱古力味不算香濃.

再奉上mixed berries果茶來畫上完美的句號.

讚的是可吃出此店的製作認真, 食物味道也不錯, 是晚只做一轉而不會被趕著走.

個人覺得可改善是增加麵包籃和主菜的澱粉質分量, 例如薯蓉.

多謝薑餅人是夜細心安排的晚餐.

- 先0黎一杯叫 Strawberry Fizz 的 welcome drink: 其實即係有氣的士多啤梨汁, 飲落好香 fresh 士多啤梨0既味, 甜甜的亦清新.
- entrée: 加 $50 upgrade 了做 Pan-fried Foie Gras with Green Apple & Balsamic Vinegar Glaze... presentation 好靚, 鵝肝薄薄一片, 品質一般, 食落唔算豐潤, 食食0下仲有點筋, 不過煎得外脆內軟滑, 配上脆卜卜的一小片 toasted baguette, 酸酸甜甜的青蘋果及旁邊一「劃」Balsamic vinegar glaze, $50 收貨有餘了.
- 無 upgrade 的 entrée 就係 Pan-Fried Duck Breast with French Mustard sauce, presentation 一樣靚, 唔知好唔好食?
- Cream of Watercress soup (亦可揀 Tomato & Pumpkin soup): cream of spinach 就飲得多, cream of 西洋菜都係第一次飲... 西洋菜磨成茸, 密度好高, 飲落帶淡淡西洋菜清香, 質地 creamy, 好對胃口!
- Mixed Green Salad with Roasted Pinenuts: 沙律菜算新鮮, 不過 1) pinenuts 呢?? , 2) Balsamic dressing 及 olive oil 俾得太少, 近乎乾哽, 唔係太0岩食.
- Homemade Seasonal Fruit Sorbet: 自家製的菠蘿雪葩, 唔太凍 (!?), 有啖啖菠蘿肉, 亦當然好香 fresh 菠蘿味, 唔錯0既一個 refresher.
- main course 揀了「法國入口, 每天只限 8 隻, 敬請早一天預訂」的 Seven Thirty Special Grill Chicken with Garden Vegetables: 開邊的燒春雞, 雞肉好嫩滑入味, 雞皮索滿甜甜的又帶點香草味的醬汁 (唔知乜0黎0架呢?), 燒得香而不油膩, 好食! 中間的雜菜就係炒過的西芹, 紅蘿蔔, 洋蔥 etc, 爽爽甜甜幾好食. 果然係 signature dish, 值得試試.
- 切了一忽雞脾, 換了一啖朋友 K $420 set 的 main course -- Pan-fried Australian Grain-fed Lamb Rack with Mint Jelly & Mustard Sauce: 要了 medium, 不過 turned out 煎得似 well-done 多 d... 食落羊味一般, 肉汁一般, 唔怪得朋友話燒雞好食 d!
- 其他 $350 的 main course 仲有 Braised Australian Lamb Shank in Red Wine Sauce with Wild Rice 及 Pan-Fried Australian Grain-fed Pork loin with Mango & Mustard Seed sauce, 豬扒賣相尤其靚, 相信幾好食?
- 呢度無 "coffee or tea" 一欄, 只供應 Fruit Tea: 係 peach tea, 唔甜的, 聞落香噴噴 peach 味, 消滯一流.
- 甜品揀了 Chocolate Bombra with Vanilla Ice Cream: 有心太軟點可以唔揀?
細細件蛋糕加一小球雪糕 (甜魔級食友一定會唔夠食, 哈哈!), 不過一拮落蛋糕度係完全無朱古力漿流出的, 乜焗得咁咁咁咁咁熟呀 @_@" 食落雖然唔係好夠甜又唔係好夠熱, 雪糕又唔香唔滑, 但朱古力味好濃, 蛋糕亦夠 moist, 加埋雪糕一凍一熱, 勉強及格吧.
- 另一款甜品係朋友的 creme brulee, 呢個好好多 -- 賣相幾靚, 面層脆糖夠甜夠薄脆, 下面 custard 又香甜又幼滑, 做得不比小店 (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1885193) / Applegreen (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=1942877) 差, 值得一試.

另外印了 Openrice 的紅酒 coupon 用, 開了一支店方送的 Vina Alcanta 2007, 不過我對酒零研究, 唔敢亂講了.


店方安排了一間 VIP 房俾我0地坐, 雖然 10 個人坐得幾迫夾, 但至少自成一角, 唔使坐出面咁嘈 (當晚全店 full house!); 招呼十分好, 由訂檯訂食物到正式食飯, 主理人及 waitress 們都好友善殷勤, 服務一欄絕對滿分.

每人 $350, $400 或 $420, 各方面都好唔錯... 如果 $400 唔想去酒店 buffet 同人迫餐懵, 又唔介意唔食 Christmas Eve / Christmas Day 正日的話 (正日的話, 要預 $900), 呢度係一個幾好0既選擇.
