前菜方面,我地點左麵包同湯。

麵包係酸種麵包,暖暖地,外脆內軟,非常好食


是日餐湯係蕃茄湯,上菜嘅時候係上左鋪上材料嘅碟先,然後再倒湯入去。個人認為個湯有啲淡,湯同材料好似無乜連繫嘅感覺,溫度亦唔太熱,有啲失準。

主菜方面,我地點左三個main兩個sides,分別係鱈魚、牛柳、羊膝、烤南瓜同埋椰菜沙律。

我嘅羊膝肉嫩多汁夠入味,下面嘅豆軟硬適中,唔「騷」,總括係唔錯嘅。

其他嘅Mains味道都唔錯,美中不足嘅係個溫度唔夠熱。

甜品方面,我地點左芝士蛋糕伴雪糕同埋橙味麵包布丁。

Cheesecake係homemade嘅,芝士唔算太濃,但係唔會太甜,食落去好舒服。

麵包布丁居然有驚喜。個人本身唔係麵包布十嘅fans,但係佢新鮮焗起熱辣辣,好軟熟。橙味香,但係唔會太濃,甜度適中。簡直可以成為依一餐嘅highlight😋!

和昌大押是灣仔有歷史的建築,The Pawn就是在這古舊的建築內。從前的The Pawn保留了舊有建築的物品,成為裝潢的一部份,但自從裝修重開後,變得煥然一新,感覺更為舒適,也較切合casual dining的風格。一踏進2/F的餐廳Kitchen,真是令人眼前一亮,裝修前後的氣氛煥然一新,真的很不一樣呢!餐廳簡約自然的裝修,配上一幅幅的藝術畫,色調以清新的青綠色和淺木色為主,加上高樓底及柔和自然光,氣氛輕鬆、休閒又型格。週末午市供應的brunch,包無限添飲Moet粉紅香檳,cider,紅、白餐酒、啤酒等酒精飲品和汽水,每位$598。不過前一晚才吃過一頓既超豐富、又高膽固醇的晚餐,真不想一睡醒吃早午餐就喝酒,這日還是乖乖的選無酒精的brunch,讓身體take a break吧

位於灣仔既哩間有名既The Pawn餐廳,住香港島既人應該會認識,早早就想試下哩間餐廳既brunch😍😍😍知道餐廳會定時更換menu既款式,帶多啲新鮮感俾客人踏入十月既第一個星期六,一於黎試下嗰brunch先1200hrs黎到,撘lift上二樓,門口有reception,因為前一日book定左枱,所以好快就預留左位置,可惜露台位置full哂了,只好影張相吧🤪🤪🤪Brunch menu分開兩種,第一種就係Free flow for soft drink,第二種就係free flow for wine 🍷 我同朋友選左第一種,因為唔飲酒既,然後就揀左main,一個English roast 一個salmon 🥧 ,然後侍應就會安排starter 俾我地😋😋starter 有red berry yogurt,牛油果🥑配法包,roast vegetables ,fresh seafood ,sweet potato 🍟 ,不過整體果道好一般,沒有想像中的出色,至於兩嗰main都無咩特別,嗰steak還okay,不會overcook,但嗰pie 就一啲都唔熱既,較為普通及無咩味道😆😆😆至於嗰de

1200hrs黎到,撘lift上二樓,門口有reception,因為前一日book定左枱,所以好快就預留左位置,可惜露台位置full哂了,只好影張相吧🤪🤪🤪Brunch menu分開兩種,第一種就係Free flow for soft drink,第二種就係free flow for wine 🍷 我同朋友選左第一種,因為唔飲酒既,然後就揀左main,一個English roast 一個salmon 🥧 ,然後侍應就會安排starter 俾我地😋😋starter 有red berry yogurt,牛油果🥑配法包,roast vegetables ,fresh seafood ,sweet potato 🍟 ,不過整體果道好一般,沒有想像中的出色,至於兩嗰main都無咩特別,嗰steak還okay,不會overcook,但嗰pie 就一啲都唔熱既,較為普通及無咩味道😆😆😆至於嗰desert 就so far so good🤫🤫🤫🤫這嗰質疑的brunch有點不值喔🤭🤭🤭

Haven’t had the pawn for about 6 months and realized the menu changed. Didn’t have the whole beef short ribs, this time went for the 800g rib eye. Get ready to be blown with the sea of salt. Steak is not served on a hot plate but on a bed of salt and sprinkled with salt. When telling the servers, they informed me will let their chef know and found out Tom Akins has left, no wonder. Everything else was just the same salt overload

The decor is one of tradition, with big balcony overlooking the busy Johnston Road and if you are not afraid of the heat in summer or the noise, actually is quite an experience dining outside. But I opted for indoor which you can see the open kitchen and the chef busy preparing your meal. The overall atmosphere is comfortable and casual.

We ordered two appetizers to start, the one being Prawn, the Crystal Blue Prawn Carpaccio, with Bell Pepper, Radish, Coriander, Garlic and Chili Oil ($198). The presentation is nice, and the taste of the carpaccio is equal to the look, with the herbs and seasoning able to highlight the delicate flavors of the prawn. A good start for our meal.

The other appetizer is Octopus, the Stewed Spanish Octopus, with Ripened Tomato and White Wine ($198). The octopus is certainly tender and the sauce is rich, with some spaghetti added to soak up the sauce to enjoy, along with two pieces of toast. There is also some chili added to spice things up and I like the heat and I also like this dish.

For the main course we also ordered two dishes to share. The first to come is the Boston Lobster Tagine, cooked with Lobster Bisque and Aromatic Basmati Rice ($288). It was served in a casserole, steaming hot with half a lobster. The rice has absorbed the lobster bisque, making it highly flavorful and delicious, with some chopped mushroom which provided an additional bite. The lobster is also nice and overall this was the one dish I enjoyed most in the evening.

The other main course was the Ash Baked French Wild Pigeon ($328). The cooking method is by using rock salt and charcoal heat to keep the juice of the meat and adding the smoky flavors. While certainly this delivers those promises, I reckon the pigeon is not sufficient cooked for us. Not exactly unacceptable so we did not ask the staff to re-do it, but for a lot of people this might be too raw and uncomfortable. But the taste is in fact quite good.

On dessert I have a New York Cheesecake with Sour Cream Ice-Cream ($75). The texture and flavors did remind me a lot of the homemade cheesecake that I used to do many years ago, with the cream cheese soft, the base buttery and crunchy. Not too sweet and I like that richness while not overly indulgent. The ice-cream is a good complement but I did not recognize it as sour-cream flavor. Maybe they have changed?

The other dessert was Tiramisu ($85), made with ladyfinger, coffee, mascarpone and chocolate. A twist in the style than the Italian traditional version, the mascarpone is fluffy and having a great texture contrast with the chewy coffee jelly and soaked ladyfinger, as well as the crispy chocolate sheet on top. Also the sweetness is at the right level to make it enjoyable while not making you feel heavy. A nice effort.

With a Root Beer ($70) and a bottle of water ($80), the total bill on the night was $1,454. Overall I would say it is a bit on the high side. But this restaurant do have its charm and it would be more wonderful if somehow they can make the customers understand more the background of the pawn and how the restaurant comes into play to 'save' and 're-invigorate' this historic building it would make the overall experience even more interesting.

終於到今晚,我們幾個朋友決定先到這裡喝上一杯再去吃晚飯!

裡面比我想像的舒適,有大張大張的梳化,環境偏昏暗,雖說這橦建築物歷史遺久,但裡面沒任何古舊的感覺。


我們點了三杯,每杯都有各自各獨特的味道,真是各有特色

remember nature (第一張相中高身的那杯)
這杯一入口有很濃郁的大自然氣息,即是,很草青味,不太好喝
。很濃烈的rosemary口味。很薄荷的清新感,酒味頗濃烈,沒有什麼甜味,跟一般的cocktails很不同,我們喝得不太習慣。喜歡mojito的朋友應該也會喜歡這杯,只不過我不是mojito的fans



magic hour (第二張相獨立一杯的那張)
到這杯的獨特之處是它濃濃的薑味!是那種薑酒的味道,並不是我喜歡的味道。gin as base alcohol,酒精夠重但味道我不是太接受到,鍾愛薑的朋友反而很愛這杯。



a long kiss goodnight (第一張相中矮身的那杯)
這杯初嚐喝到朱古力味!再仔細喝,真有朱古力!不是第一次喝雞尾酒中有朱古力,但這般濃的味道反倒是第一次。還有少少紅豆和bourbon 酒味。這味道說真的有點不太夾,不是我們幾個喜歡的味道,不難喝不過下一次我們不會點這杯。




第一次試這裡的雞尾酒,比起酒我們更享受環境的舒適。人不多靜靜的聊天,沒有侍應來打擾我們,感覺不錯。
可能我們就是非常lucky的剛好挑到了這裡最新奇味道的雞尾酒。雖然酒的味道麻麻我們沒有喝得很盡興,不過環境是一讚的。
更重要的,tonight I have finally checked one item off my to-eat list! Yeah!

We made a reservation for dinner and the receptionist didn't tell us that they arranged the seats for us in the balcony area (no air conditioning) during this hot weather. We stood in the receptionist area (2/F) for more than 10 minutes even though we made a reservation; we tried to ask for sitting inside cuz it was too hot & humid last Saturday. Finally, we were arranged to sit near to their open kitchen.

The waitresses provided with good services especially the short hair chinese girl who worked in Fat Pig Causeway Bay before. We ordered Fish & Chips (tasted not as good as expected…maybe the fish stored in the fridge for long time?), Macaroni Cheese with lobster (tasted good but hardly found the lobster), Pork belly (fairly good) & salad (refreshing & tasted good).

Decided to write the review cuz this was a very unforgettable dining experience; the way the receptionists treated us OMG~the worst ever in my life versus the waitresses treated us~honestly Thumb Up for the services loll!

charcuterie board係有不同款式的巴馬火腿本人最喜愛的starter 之一不過冇研究佢到低係幾多個月風乾連埋旁邊既配菜係好吃的。Crab meat, cherry tomato gazpacho佢呢個蟹肉配埋個source 係好清新啖啖肉冇得輸,再配house wine,一流睇落份量雖少,但係都覺得佢夠滿足跟住落黎係main 二選一Angus / pock rack我印象中好似個牛冇問我地幾多成熟...肉汁係鎖到,只不過我地全部人唔係即時食我仲要食唔晒,男仔例外個豬都好淋 佢既煮法應該係好似整豬手咁到甜品呢part 已飽,toffee pudding+ice cream(唔記得影相)試左一啖,如果我食得落會食埋的🤗🤗總結,個室內環境係勁chill, 灣仔舊式建築而且service 係okey~

Normally, I don't go a couple of months without re-visiting The Pawn for lunch so I'm back here again this afternoon. I have less than an hour today so I know I have to make good use of my time.Pork terrine with pickled cauliflower, carrot and radish - Smooth, meaty and without the usual amount of fat (or gelatin) one always sees from a pork terrine. Pork terrine with pickled cauliflower, carrot and radish - Smooth, meaty and without the usual amount of fat (or gelatin) one always sees from a pork terrine. That's a pretty good recipe for a nice piece of terrine.

I don't usually like food with strong acidity so on a typical day, I won't be touching the pickled cauliflower and carrot but I thought they did well to balance the richness of the terrine. So, I ended up finishing them all (Grade: 6.5/10).

Slow-cooked beef rump with pumpkin and asparagus - Rump steaks are usually a bit tricky. Just the slightest overcooking and it will turn rubbery like an old boot (which is why I don't usually order them!). But this was decent. A little chewy but way better than those from some of my worst dining experience (Grade: 5/10).

Sticky banana pudding with honeycomb and vanilla ice-cream - I really miss their sticky toffee pudding but if there's any consolation, they had sticky banana pudding as one of the two choices for dessert today, which I jumped on immediately.

This tasted a lot like the banana cake we found from the local bakeries. Pretty pillowy which was always nice. The vanilla ice-cream didn't really taste like vanilla though. I thought it tasted like sabayon, which was even better match with the banana pudding if you ask me (Grade: 6/10).

以前成日經過呢頭, 見到間野都無食到今次經過終於決定入去試下呢間野前身好似係D古蹟黎,改建之後就變左幾層既餐廳同酒吧,因為本身已經食左飯, 所以我地只係叫左3樣野食青口唔錯, 一桶又多又大隻, 好新鮮, 又唔會腥呢個係慢煮黑毛豬柳, 呢種煮法同質感既豬都係第一次食到, 幾好味最後叫多個甜品, 好大兜, 不過味道普通無咩特別, 最後太飽食唔哂呢度叫主菜比較OK, 我見隔離枱叫D主菜都好似好好味既樣, 不過甜品就可以下場先再食LA

今次我地去試 The Pawn,好大期望, 因為係灣仔都出名。佢有3floor。 1f 係飲野,2f 食野地方,而3f好次係用來做event。 又係我同老細去lunch。 叫左個mushroom湯,味道ok。 分別叫了一個cheese 通粉同薯蓉。味道有d淡。唔難食,不過比我期望既有出入。最後緊係叫番杯coffee。杯Coffee ok 的。

終於堐到去星期五🕺🏻🕺🏻 今日就同同事一齊嚟食個正lunch relax relax😃 The Pawn裝修同Pici好似,設計風格偏歐美style🕺🏻食物就一樣係以fine 為主啦!Lunch set 最平200蚊就有,算係above avg price 😌但食物質素就有番咁上下啦! 先上嘅麵包口感扎實,麥味重,配上牛油更特顯到佢嘅香味😃Starter要左mushroom soup~非常特別嘅湯,先比一隻有菇冇湯嘅盆你,再倒入濃濃蘑菇湯🥚 撈好之後飲會淡番小小菇味,但個醬嘅味就出番!Main要左雞!好值得一食,雞肉嫩滑唔鞋口,汁就幾creamy !甜甜地,以麵包沾上嚟食就更唔錯Banana tiramisu 好重蕉味👍🏻👍🏻底有d朱古力脆脆好有咬口,唔會太甜!

Revitalized from a traditional Chinese pawn shop, the Pawn serves authentic British cuisine with a separate floor for bar (1/F) and restaurant (2/F). There was a lot I wanted to try, but since I was eating alone, I picked a pie to start with. I always love Shepherd's pie, as it has my favorite minced lamb with mashed potato on top. This Shepherd's pie is no different. It was served hot. The minced lamb was flavored and delicious, and the mashed was crispy on top. There are two sizes of pie you can choose from, small or large. I chose the small one, but could still only be able to finish half of it (I took the other half away, no food waste).

Part of the reason I could not finish the Shepherd's Pie is because I wanted to leave some room for dessert. This Snow Egg with honeycombs and blackcurrant is a very interesting dessert. The snow egg is very airy and fluffy, it melted on your tongue, just like a snowflake. The honeycombs and sauce were very enjoyable. Blackcurrant, not too much for me, as it was a bit sour.
