I passed by Union Jacks a few days ago and decided to give it a try with my friend. Their waitress was very friendly and she introduced their menu very clearly to us. We order a mixed green salad as our starter. It was very fresh and we loved it so much. My friend order an England lamp rack. My friend order an England lamp rack. The appearance was very attractive and it comes with grilled tomatoes and veggies. I'm not very much into lamp because of the smell but after trying a bit I think this was actually pretty nice. It's juicy and tender.

I ordered a club sandwich for myself. It surprised me pretty much. They have avocado, egg mayonnaise, ham, bacon, grilled chicken, lettuce and many ingredients in it, also, it comes with chips.

It was such a huge portion for two girls!

When we were about to finish, the manager came and asked about how were the food. We told him everything was excellent
He was very attentive and caring. 

Overall, food and people are great! And the environment was nice too! We enjoyed our branch so much 👍 My friend and I will come back again! <3

星期六晚上和男朋友去西貢拍拖吃晚餐,是日很想吃西餐,便四周看看有什麼好餐廳。到了餐廳門口我們還猶豫要去那一間的時候,有位很nice的職員很有耐性介紹精選晚餐給我們,見她那麼認真的介紹,我們都不好意思不進去了。由於皮膚敏感的關係,不能吃我最愛的牛蝦蟹,只好選魚吧!(平時我外出用餐絕不會選魚)雖然不是我首選的菜式,但這個鱈魚真的很鮮味,魚油的香味於口中久久不散,吃得我很滋味呢!男朋友選了大蝦意大利飯,他說飯很香濃味道一流,而大蝦則很新鮮。(我也很想試試,可惜皮膚敏感不能吃...不過咀鵰的他說好吃應該也不錯了吧!)希望我的皮膚快點好回來,我一定會再來試試!

由於皮膚敏感的關係,不能吃我最愛的牛蝦蟹,只好選魚吧!(平時我外出用餐絕不會選魚)雖然不是我首選的菜式,但這個鱈魚真的很鮮味,魚油的香味於口中久久不散,吃得我很滋味呢!

男朋友選了大蝦意大利飯,他說飯很香濃味道一流,而大蝦則很新鮮。(我也很想試試,可惜皮膚敏感不能吃...不過咀鵰的他說好吃應該也不錯了吧!)

希望我的皮膚快點好回來,我一定會再來試試!

如果要吃比較特色的西餐,多數人會去中環或灣仔區,今日放假同女朋友去西貢拍拖,朋友有介紹,呢間餐廳以英式主題作佈置,再揉合柔和燈光...拍拖一流,整體感覺亦很悠閒寫意.但係落雨,所以搵個地方Happy hour飲返杯生啤同食小小野,由於呢到賣既生啤都係一D新既產品,經理免費請我試曬所有生啤,最後來了一杯來自西班牙既Mahou,非常有濃郁既啤酒味,唔苦,絕對可以黎多Round到點食物的時間,叫左4隻生蠔,一個Ceasar salad始終都未到晚飯時間 唔想食咁飽生蠔係來自法國 大小係No.1 只係賣$78 唔算貴 叫夠半打仲送白酒 岩曬唔飲啤酒既女朋友 可惜食唔到咁多隻 如果唔係可能叫夠一打.而靚女侍應就話呢到個Ceasar salad 好出名 個汁係大廚每一日新鮮返黎調教 又真係好正 完全係出面未食過既味道 .最後埋單$600有找 唔太貴 下次再入西貢一定會再黎

天氣不冷不熱,有太陽,風不大,坐室外比較舒服!可以悠閑用餐,也是樂事!

坐低,細閱餐牌,呢間餐廳好似有好多著數俾顧客。set lunch,沙拉 或 湯,主菜,咖啡或茶。基本版,不過,你肯加錢,就可以湯同沙拉都有,再加D錢,就可以有甜品。$其實唔系大問題,食唔食得落,才是關鍵。

我選了前菜沙拉,主菜是牛油果大蝦長通粉。美少女侍應生話今日D青口好靚,......。我客氣拒絕。

沒多久,沙拉上桌,只有一種生菜的凱撒沙拉,算正常,冇乜特別。

兩片麵包,在西貢這區的餐廳,肯定比下去。

就在這時,有一雙年輕男女也來幫襯,選擇坐在我旁邊的桌子,他倆跟店里的伙計們是朋友,于是親切地聊起來。

他們坐下來,先掏出香煙,點火,當然是抽煙啦!他倆的後面是另一檯客,三個外國長者,帶著一個baby!年輕人,聊得起勁!夾雜唔少粗口。

如果我去大排檔、熟食中心、環頭環尾的茶餐廳,我會有聽到粗口的心理準備(不過其實很少聽到)。不過在一家BAR & GRILL,我真的始料不及!如果我在較高檔的餐廳,旁邊的客人行為過份了,我會告訴經理我的感受,看他怎樣協調協調。不過在這兒,我只好希望東西快點來,吃完就走。因為客人講粗口,friend底伙計也同聲同氣!

伙計因為忙著吹水,服務就唔多到位啦。主菜來了,三只蝦,輕微over cook,唔霉,不過不能稱爽口彈牙多汁。冇乜牛油果,通粉好creamy。creamy,是因為個sauce用了大量的芝士。吃完這份主菜,感覺很膩。咖啡不喝了,改喝熱檸檬水!

牛油果大蝦長通粉,變成了芝士汁長通粉,是另一個始料不及!吃完,趕快埋單,另一個年輕伙計,看見我的運通卡,直接說 "我地唔收AE" 。價錢貴唔貴?好食,我唔介意;唔好食,當然介意!

呢間餐廳的管理好定唔好,我不評價,只把我看見的寫出來。負責室外的男伙計,老是黏在朋友的身邊“吹水“,那個看似經理的跟他耳語兩句,男伙計,拿了一份餐具,然後索性坐下來。不久,一客牛排上桌,于是他們邊吃邊聊,爆下粗口,不亦樂乎!

吃完這個長通粉,我飽飽滯滯,晚飯也沒吃了。

我的決定,一定唔會再幫襯!

Union Jacks is once of those places where the food is good, and service are really friendly and polite. We came here on wednesday for dinner, it was crowded but there were still available tables so we got a seat rightaway... We ordered 3 set dinner 🍴

今日去了西貢,天氣好好,好多小朋友向公園走來走去,好熱鬧。聽講有間新開的西餐好得,於是同朋友入去試試。嘩!見到餐牌超吸引!有龍蝦有牛柳既元旦餐都係2佰幾,咪試下。超好味,龍蝦好好食,牛柳好juicy,個龍蝦湯好濃,唔係豆粉水,好足料!最驚喜係有香檳送😄真係無諗過西貢的餐廳水準有咁嘅水準☺️☺️

attracted by the set menu in the reception desk, me and my hubby gave a try in this newly restaurant...we ordered two sets dinner that evening... out of our expectation especially the prime rib..Wonderful meat  only marinated with sea salt which gives us the original flavor of this quality meat and served with delicious sauce on side, to be honest, most of the restaurant would put as much as seasoning to make the meat as "flavourable" as it can so as to cover the "frozen" taste of the meat.   We

When my hubby ordered the drinks, we found that there is a happy hour promotion.  No matter how many glasses and drinks are only $138, Wow!  even beer???  My hubby ordered three rounds at least ..

Newly opened and gave it a try ....First, very expensive menu with very limited selection .......We ordered very basic stuff like onion rings + BLT sandwiches + chess burgers + a nachos.Wow, none of the above came out properly .... burgers meet so dry, BLT, so so, the nachos, one of the worst that I ever tried ..... how could they got all theae basic stuff so wrong !!!!!!!

9 months pregnant, starving and desperate for a taste of home at 9pm on a Saturday night, hubby and I decided to give Union Jacks a try - mainly because they were advertising a roast dinner which was all baby wanted! Really we should've been a little wary, every other restaurant in the square was heaving, Union Jacks had about 6-8 customers outside. Really we should've been a little wary, every other restaurant in the square was heaving, Union Jacks had about 6-8 customers outside. Again. Pregnant, hungry, late at night, just wanted food. 

The lady that served us was very polite and professional, however she seemed to be the only member of staff that spoke English. 

Hubby and I both ordered the roast beef dinner, which was advertised as US prime beef, yorkshire pudding and roast veg with soup or salad for starters. For the price of $250+ each we were expecting a lot. 

I ordered a 7up which arrived in a very small glass, the kind you would put a vodka in. When we tried to check with the staff that they had only served me 7up, and not vodka and 7up, it took us asking 3 members of staff before anyone was either able to understand us or give us a yes or no answer. The lady that had seated us and taken our order (the only one that seemed to speak English) explained that they only served soft drinks in small glasses (quite shocking for the price!$35 for about half a can of 7up) however, she gave me a second glass free of charge. 

When our food arrived, our meat was cooked to our order and was a good size, but it really needed a lot of seasoning.The biggest let down was the veg. One very very small potato and 2 slices of courgette with 3-4 stalks of asparagus thrown on top.

Bill came to $850 +. Really not worth it for the price, won't be a repeat customer.

上星期因有長徦期便帶埋家人入去西貢吃喝玩樂。 在猶豫去邊間餐廳時看見有間門口放了鮮花,感覺十分討好,又經餐廳經理介紹有海鮮食,便入去試試。我地先點了兩客北寄貝,估唔到除日本餐廳㚈,西餐也可吃到,仲要是新鮮的,餐廳經理話每日都會去入貨。一客有兩隻,一隻是用芝士做,好香芝士味,另一隻是炒洋蔥煙肉配芝士,十分爽甜好味,連我兩個小朋友都話好好食。無想過北寄貝可以咁樣食法,super yummy.跟住叫左一個ribeye 、帶子risotto同蜆肉意粉。  雖然餐廳有供應美國牛但我地order左個英國牛,比較有肉味而且唔油,食完唔會好油個種。而帶子risotto個帶子好鮮甜,D飯比較軟身,唔係一般意大利飯咁硬,比較啱中國人。risotto 份量如果可以大D,就更好。至於個蜆肉意粉還以為好似其他餐廳用芝士做的白汁,原來蜆肉是新鮮的,好似食炒蜆有殼的,沒有白汁,保留新鮮蜆肉鮮味,一D都唔油,好鮮甜。甜品我地叫左香橙疏乎里,apple crumble。疏乎里賣相一般味道尚可,而apple crumble 不是一般做法,有好香牛油味,配有機蘋果,好爽甜。小朋友就叫左一個cookies and cream

As a newly opened restuarant at Sai Kung Square, my husband and I were happy to give it a try. Once we sat down, my husband ordered Stella (a pint) and I asked for a glass of warm water, then the staff asked me did I want distilled water???!!! What they brought me was a glass of ice water!!! For the main, my husband ordered ribeye (HKD300+). For the main, my husband ordered ribeye (HKD300+). When my husband asked what the side dish came along, it was hard to believe the waitress couldn't understand English. I explained to her in Cantonese, she had to ask for another staff and came back to say 'chips only'. I ordered salmon risotto (a regular size, almost HKD300). The food was very disappointing. The ribeye wasn't cooked as what we asked for (medium to well) and fatty. For risotto I had to say it was quite small portion for regular size. The rice was not properly cooked in Italian way.

Service: I had to say very poor service. First the staff didn't pay attention what the customers asked for. Second open a restaurant at Sai Kung, particularly at the Square, the customers at least half are expats, but the staff don't understand or speak English...

Price: Overpriced. A glass of beer (a pint) costed HKD88, and one-third was foam. I had to say the most expensive beer at Sai Kung. The ribeye costed over HKD300 without any veggie but a few chips. They even didn't serve bread...I was glad I didn't order distilled water, how much would they charge for it???!!!

All in all, very disappointing experience in terms of service, food quality and price....

Went all the way to Sai Kung to try this new restaurant which sounded British from the Restaurant name.(Previously made an enquiry through FB for a menu, but no menu has been uploaded hence I randomly made a trip into SK to try it). Comparing it to other British do's, their prices are quite expensive and probably the most expensive in the Sai Kung square because the roast costs around $26X which costs more than dining in Central or Wan Chai.They did have the basic British fare like Bangers and M

Comparing it to other British do's, their prices are quite expensive and probably the most expensive in the Sai Kung square because the roast costs around $26X which costs more than dining in Central or Wan Chai.

They did have the basic British fare like Bangers and Mash, Cottage pies which still costs way more than other top notch places in Central.
If it was authentic fare, it would probably be worth paying but I changed my mind on the cottage pie when they said the custard was made with Vanilla because they said it was Fusion so for that price, I hope the other items were not fusion.

As I wanted to try the sticky toffee pudding, I ordered a small bolognese so that I wouldn't be too full.

The smoothie was free because they gave me a coupon when I went in.
(I shouldn't really complain because it was free but it didn't look a smoothie.)

The bolognese sauce was actually quite good because it had a rich tomato taste with onions and basil, but the pasta strands were too thick for my liking but I still managed to finish it because the sauce was good.

For dessert, I was tempted by the Bramley apple crumble but the Chef said it was custard sauce made with Vanilla which was not the proper English custard so I got the sticky toffee pudding instead.
Although the traditional British Sticky toffee pudding does not look like this, the pudding was a surprise because it was presented in a modern way with the toffee sauce separately served.
I requested mine with plain whipped cream instead of icecream because the normal sticky toffee pudding is meant to be really sweet which is why they serve it with proper custard.

Anyway, the sponge was really nice with bits of wheat in it and the cream and toffee sauce complemented it really well, however the sauce tasted like caramel more than toffee.
