This is my third visit to VEDA. To be honest the food dishes and drinks here are not very economical. Given that the food is sooooo delicious, no wonder why we visit it again and again.Arriving at around 6:30pm, the skies were getting dimmer. This glasshouse signatured with black metal frames is soooo distinctive on the slope.Sitting near the bar table, we could view the outside through the glass walls. Paniyaram (10/10): While momos were our must-ordered items in our previous visits, we agreed to try something new this time and luckily it was equally delicious. These balls taste like butter-filled cakes with a spongy texture and a crispy surface. The coconut and tomato-tamarined sauces polish them to have a richer content.

Cashew cheese naan tartine (10/10): This pizza-like naan is amazing! It is a sweet dish and the sauce is a bit mashed coconut. The honey enlightens the overall taste and I appreciate the cheese and cherry tomatoes as the toppings.

Semolina cake (8/10): While the fig cheesecake is always my favorite dessert, the semolina cake worths a try. The pistachio ice cream on top is sooooo delicious with an exceptionally strong flavor of the nuts. The cake itself tastes like something between steamed turnip cake and coconut crepe cake. But I’ll go back to the fig cheesecake anyway haha

For the drinks we ordered one smoothie and one cocktail. I would say they are perfect to play an assiting role in the meal. But the food is a lot more amazing and memorable.

Summary: No matter you are vegetarian or not, you will have an enjoyable meal here. My first visit was in Feb and 5 months later the quality of the food is good as before. And I do appreciate the update of the menu. The new options keep amazing us. Looking forward to the 4th visit~

Za’atar, roasted carrot and quinoa salad (10/10): Other restaurants usually add a lot of salad dressings to quinoa. Luckily VEDA doesn’t make such silly attempt. The quinoa remains dry and retains its own fragrant smell. The carrot is super tender. Yumm~

Kale Gnocchi (8/10): The gnocchi is awesome! The texture is mochi like and the sauce is not too salty. The kale is soooooo fragrant than what I had before. No wonder why it’s one of the signatured dishes in the bar.

Fig cheesecake (9/10): Unlike traditional cheesecake, the vegan cheese layer is somehow more loose and have a texture of dietary fibres. The syrup is a bit sticky and tastes like taro. I especially love the base which has a strong flavor of coffee. The fig jam featuring the cheese is also delicious~

Dark Sponge Cake (8/10): The dark sponge cake is made of black sesame and it is very fragrant. The mousse is smooth and I love its contrast with the choco pistachio underneath it.

Summary: VEDA will become my frequently-visited restaurant. The service is great that the waiter is easy-going and allowed us to move upstairs to finish our dessert despite the time limit. The number of tables available is below 10. Prior reservation is strongly recommended.

One of the dishes that stood out were the dumplings, as the cheese inside paired with spinach tasted just as good as meat fillings  
If you don’t dip the (super spicy) chili sauce, you can taste the sweetness of the tomatoes (but still a little spicy).

因為咁啱去到中環,而呢一間素食餐廳都想試左好耐好似幾有特色咁餐廳嘅裝修幾舒服但係張枱比較細張,所以不可以一次過放到好多嘢食當日我哋差不多6點15分就去到餐廳都已經有兩台客,然之後坐低左 陸陸續續都有唔少嘅客人入到黎餐廳但係因為枱同枱之間個空間比較小所以如果傾計嘅話都幾嘈成日都聽到隔離枱講乜不過食物先係重點:食物選擇就唔算好多嘅但係佢係重質不重量baked aloo Gobi呢一個係一個焗椰菜花之後醬汁係咖喱汁,帶有少少椰奶嘅香味。薯粒配上醬汁非常之香口令人食過不停。椰菜花亦都焗得啱啱好唔會話好硬。Nepalese ricotta spinach momos呢一個有啲似普通我哋食開嘅餃子,不過有好重嘅芝士味同埋好豐富嘅菠菜所以食落去都幾香口soba noodles salad呢個沙律非常之清新因為佢配上大量嘅唔同蔬菜,配上醬汁非常之開胃整體來講餐廳嘅食物唔錯但係熱食就唔夠熱啦同埋服務態度其實都不差。

中環蘭桂坊附近的 VEDA 就如普通酒吧般,雖然服務員全用英語溝通,但笑容親切又細心,未有嫌棄我這個英文半桶水, Menu沒有圖片只有英文!她們會逐個菜式介紹及推介,又會為客人的數量替我們釐定大小份量,就是服務態度已經加分了!點了piazza, 紅黃咖哩(這個一定要加碗白米飯配呢)焗椰菜花、蕎麥面沙律、茄椰醬芝士波波及綠波菜青豆薯仔粒粒,非常美味!沒有如其他素食文化餐廳般因吃素而淡化味的濃度,濃淡適中,讚!另外叫了兩個甜品,紅菜頭乳酪完全是和想像的不一様口感!有種在吃甜番薯的感覺!不推介,因為不像在吃甜點!反而另外一個極力推介....焦糖味芝士蛋糕,打破芝士蛋糕常規,一點也不腻!值得一提的是服務員介紹的沒有酒精的酒飲料,不同以往的無酒精黑麥啤,這次是tonic water,淡淡的香味頗新鮮! 餐廳太好情調(因太暗)以外,真的值得再光顧的!

兩個女仔叫左一個拉麵 (miso soy ramen soup) 同一個細既焗椰菜花 (baker aloo gobi) share。我食純素,所以拉麵唔要蛋要泡菜,泡菜得個咸字,冇辣味冇酸味,拉麵口感好差,唔彈牙,同埋好易碎,感覺上好似超市買果重質素同埋煮得唔夠耐咁,豆卜完全冇煮過,白菜普通,湯底唔夠熱,但味道相對較好,有好微好微既咖哩味,口味溫和同少少creamy。焗椰菜花好味d,汁同拉麵個味好似,都係咖哩味同幾creamy, 薯仔香口配埋個汁好食,椰菜花焗既時間啱啱好,同身椰菜花就冇咩味,但配埋汁同上面既果仁碎都唔錯,個汁仲加左lentil,幾夾。總結,veda係好多印度菜選擇但口味偏向西方。另外veda仲係煮拉麵既門外漢,我諗是但一間拉麵店都可以打抵佢,但純素拉麵香港的確少見,試一次就夠。拉麵個湯同椰菜花個汁個味真係好似,唔好一齊嗌。

焗椰菜花好味d,汁同拉麵個味好似,都係咖哩味同幾creamy, 薯仔香口配埋個汁好食,椰菜花焗既時間啱啱好,同身椰菜花就冇咩味,但配埋汁同上面既果仁碎都唔錯,個汁仲加左lentil,幾夾。

總結,veda係好多印度菜選擇但口味偏向西方。另外veda仲係煮拉麵既門外漢,我諗是但一間拉麵店都可以打抵佢,但純素拉麵香港的確少見,試一次就夠。拉麵個湯同椰菜花個汁個味真係好似,唔好一齊嗌。

I’ve been in Veda twice already. Located in the heart of LKF. Very nice and cosy decor. Staff are very helpful and services was great. My personal top 5 vegetarian restaurants in HK. It has a good selection of Wine & Cocktails list. Food are well presented and very freshness taste, dressing and sauces were very delicious. I would love to recommend you all to try and reservations is necessary.

After training and breaking my fast at 1.30pm we went to VEDA, the place is very nicely decorated and the staff are really nice which was hopeful as it is apart of the hotel.We had a large Baked Aloo Gobi, 2nd was a Homemade Semolina Potato Gnocchi, Sauteed Spinach, Grana Padano and Krispy Kale and 3rd was Appam with vegetable stew, coconut milk.All of them turned up instagramable and unique. Taste was nice but not so mind blowing for the Appam. The other 2 were fabulous. I had no idea cauliflow

上網睇到推介呢一間係全港第一間素食酒吧,我同我嘅素食朋友第一時間就去咗試。一朝早去到原來得早餐Menu,不過都照食,然後發現真係好好食。店員嘅態度非常之好,好友善,好似去咗外國咁樣樣。呢一個蛋冇乜特別,個味都OK。呢一個茄子蛋就非常好食,呢個好食好多,但係唔知點解平啲,食到我同朋友都嘩~~~~唔係講笑,因為真係好好食,所以同朋友即刻夜晚再去食,佢嘅主菜真係更加正。呢個冷盤,係蕎麥面,非常之開胃,配搭亦都非常出色!呢個係尼泊爾餃子,嗰張好特別,有少少蕃茄咁,賣相都好靚。另外仲叫咗個焗椰菜花,但唔記得咗影相……真係好鍾意呢間素食酒吧,一定會再幫襯!
