Though the various body parts of a chicken may be rare in the local dining scene, the taste did not wow us, and I believe that there are many more kushiyakis in HK with similar or even better offerings.

We were instead taken aback by their poor service. As we were aware that only 50% of the restaurant would be available for walk-ins, and that they are hugely popular, my friend arrived before the shop opened to avoid waiting in line. Nevertheless, he was the first on the waiting line, only to know that another party behind him had been arranged seats before he was. It was because not all of his party was present, which is understandable but which he had not been informed of; staff didn't even ask when his companions would arrive. Not a great start of a night, but service throughout the meal was just as uncool. Staff picked up our plates one second after they were emptied - efficient as you may call it, but we found it stressful and too much in a hurry.

Food was alright, we liked the [ chicken meatballs ] and [ clams yaki soba ] in particular. However, not recommended for people who dislike cracking your voice amid loud music, and people who value service at a restaurant.

《Yardbird》是一家米芝蓮一星燒鳥店,主打備長炭燒製雞串燒;使用三黃雞的不同部位,包括雞腿、雞翼、雞頸、雞肝、雞尾還有更多刁鑽部位
雖說是米芝蓮一星、串燒燒得滿香,但整體來說,不算非常驚喜;反而,服務方面就令我們整體體驗不算太好 長話短說,就是等候入座時,排在我們後面的食客比我們還早入座,原因是我們的group還沒有到齊。完全可以理解,但事先沒有先通知,也沒有問我們朋友何時到,總之「你們要不就等到下一輪,要不就走」
為了嚐嚐他們的人氣燒鳥,最後也留下了...
入座後,服務員也好不了多少~服務員總是匆匆忙忙的,吃完一碟就收走盤子,令人吃得很有壓力;餐廳本來的定位是casual的,但實際上完全相反
唯一令人比較開心的一點是本來預計人均大概五百塊,但實際只是三百多🤣,但也吃的很飽~ -
環境來說,一步進門口,比較是酒吧的設置-高腳桌椅、吧檯;再往裡面走,則有一般餐桌
燈光昏暗,音樂嘈吵,跟朋友聊天都要拉高喉嚨喊著說話 -
Meatball 雞肉丸 ($112 / $56@)
這道是很多人最愛的居酒屋菜式,亦是Yardbird的招牌菜~
燒得焦香可口,裡面有脆脆的雞軟骨;蘸好蘸滿照燒醬油跟蛋黃,超滋味!

肉質柔嫩、有肉汁 •
Wings 雞翼 ($52)
一串兩隻雞中翼,灑上了海鹽跟七味粉,滿惹味
雞皮很香,但肉偏乾;厚肉一點會更喜歡~ •
Katsu sando 吉列雞肉三文治 ($118)
兩片厚麵包夾著厚厚的吉列雞肉、椰菜沙拉跟惹味醬汁,好吃~

Sweet corn tempura 粟米天婦羅 ($70 / $35@)
這道也是這裡的招牌菜之一,期待值超級高,可惜感覺一般
粒粒玉米做成球體,炸成天婦羅再配上海鹽、黑椒
一咬下,即吃到粒粒味道微甜的玉米🌽
雖然具創意,但味道上沒什麼驚喜😕

Clams yaki soba 蜆日式炒麵 ($230)
餐牌上的飯麵選擇不少,但本人好推薦這款期間限定菜式,雖然價錢不菲
尤其是蜆肉愛好者,一定要點!
小麥麵用上忌廉炒製,吃起來很creamy,有意大利麵的感覺
看其他食客的圖片,他們的蜆比較大隻,擺盤也有不同;我們這晚的蜆較小,但份量較多,而且每隻都很厚肉、味鮮;醬汁的忌廉都煮進去了~
