為免引起誤會, 以為d雪糕就黎融, 要了解左 Venchi 果d係gelato, 唔係雪糕。首先gelato少好多cream, 唔會筆到一個波咁; 另外個 serving 溫度係高過雪糕少少。呢度成日久不久就有新味, 食過最好味呢係 mascarpone 無花果味, mascapone 滑同香, 再加埋入邊有真無花果乾, 好味到想喊; 另外黑朱古力味係勁濃郁, 仲有好多時令 sorbet 好似李,血橙, 檸檬, 全部都係天然 artisan野, 應該唔係開粉之流。雖然冇意大利果d咁好食, 但係係呢度黎講已經係好好味。To avoid any false impression that they are serving melting ice cream, one has to understand here is actually selling gelato and is quite different from ice cream. Gelato has a lower cream content which cannot be scooped like a perfect spherical ball. It also has a slightly higher serving temperature.

Occasionally new flavors can be found at Venchi. For me the best is always mascarpone with caramelized fig with a silky heavenly mascarpone taste and pieces of figs. The dark chocolate and other seasonal sorbets are also perfect. I believe they are all artisan gelato but not made of artificial powders. The gelato is of course better in Italy but those in Venchi HK is already exceptionally good.
