Very rarely I had to have lunch alone this time and also very rarely in Kowloon this time. I passed by this 牛極 in MongKok so decided to grab a cheap lunch.The setting at this 牛極 seemed to be the same as the other branches. There was a self-serviced vending machine at the entrance for you to place your orders. Amongst so many different steak sets, I chose a 牛肩排180g at $80.There was an all-you-want-to-eat self-service bar, presenting seasoning for the steak including 燒汁& garlic, Japanese beef soup

While I was waiting for my steak, I first grabbed a bowl of salads. The salad was simple yet ingredients were so fresh. It was basically chopped cabbages with some cherry tomatoes. It was great with the sesame dressing which I liked. If you prefer something lighter, the Japanese-style yuzu dressing was a good choice too.

The Japanese beef soup was the same as that in the Jordan branch. It tasted like HK style Russian soup with fresh sliced carrots, radish and fatty beef slices. It was not overly greasy at all and tasted pretty home-made!

The steak was served to me as soon as I had finished grabbing my salad and soup. It was covered by a sheet of paper towel fixed by a toothpick. It was so well presented on the hot stone with some garlic slices. To prevent over-cooking, I immediately started cutting it into smaller pieces to grill them to the extent I like. 又玩又食 so much fun again！The steak was cheap but actually pretty nice - tender and juicy with crispy crust. It was well seasoned so I just ate it without any extra seasoning. If you want, they also provided salt and steak pepper etc on table for you to eat with the steak.
With such quality of steak, it was really quite cheap. Worth trying.
