In the past 2 weeks, we had tried out all sliced cakes at 富豪餅店. Below let me make a summary of all these cakes and give a recommendation of which ones are good. In brief, these cakes are not expensive and they are quite big. Many of them are great value for money but still some are also to be avoided. Here you go.They had different types of cakes every day. This Pear Charlotte cake looked very appealing with a lovely butterfly and beautiful cream on the surface. However, the cream tasted quite bad flavourwise while the interior was just a simple sponge cake with very little pear. Disappointing.

Taking away the chocolate thin slices you could see 3 layers of chocolate cake with quite a lot of cream, topped by chocolate slices and a cherry. Flavourwise this one was better but still very average. I didn't like so much cream in it. There were some tiny cherry jelly pieces inside and it was quite moist.

This oreo cheese cake was much better. First of all, it was so big with lots to eat. There was a chocolate sauce coating on top and another at the bottom, which added to moisture of the cake yet not overly sweet. The main body, which was the cheese cake, was very thick and smooth, although not so rich in oreo but definitely good enough as a cheese cake. On top there was a super thin slice of chocolate. I felt so full after finishing it. This cake was worth trying.

This Blueberry Cheese Cake was even better than Oreo Cheese Cake because it was super thick and smooth while quite rich in cheese! There was a very thin cookie base while the 9 blueberries on top were really fresh. The amount of blueberry jam on top was appropriate, good to accompany the cheese cake itself. Finally there was a small piece of chocolate on top which was flowery in look and made the cake look much better. There was also some edible gold on top. At such a price, it was really great value for money.

This Coffee Ganache Cake looked very pretty and also tasted great! The chocolate coating on the surface was very moist. Inside there were 2 layers, mostly chocolate ganache. The amount of coffee was just right so that the whole thing tasted mostly chocolate with some slight coffee flavour. There was a fresh raspberry on top and 2 thin slices of chocolate.

It was quite a big slice of cheese cake. There was a thin cookie base, with cheese cake topped by a thin slice of slightly caramelised honey (?) on the surface, decorated by a fresh raspberry and a thin chocolate slice. The cheese cake itself was thick and smooth, yummy! It was not overly sweet at all with just some slight honey flavour. That said, I personally liked Blueberry Cheese Cake more.

It was so nicely made with a thin chocolate bowl covered by chestnut mousse which was so smooth and rich in chestnut. Underneath the chestnut mousse, there were three layers of mousse and cake inside. The cake was decorated by a tiny chestnut, a thin slice of chocolate, biscuit and some edible gold. Flavourwise, it was not overly sweet or filling at all despite the chocolate bowl and chestnut mousse. Chestnut lovers should like this.

It was kept in quite a big plastic cup which was fully filled with a plastic cover. There were a few layers inside, with lots of chocolate powder on the surface. It was quite moist, with an appropriate balance of chocolate, coffee, Mascarpone Cheese and alcohol in the cake. I finished the whole cup on my own and didn't feel too full. Great value for money!

There were about 3 strawberries on top, together with fresh cream. Underneath the strawberries, there was yummy custard bottomed by the tart base. The tart itself was ok, although not particularly crunchy or thick. We had left it until night time before consumption. It was ok although not particularly outstanding.

The look was not bad. It was a yellow mousse cake decorated by fresh mango slices and a blueberry on top, surrounded by white cream. Flavourwise, it was normal sponge cake surrounded by mango mousse, which was quite refreshing and light. Couldn't find lychee flavour much though.

There were 3 thick slices of pastry cake layers with 2 thick layers of custard cream in between. The pastry cake layers didn't seem so crispy as they were so thick. But flavour-wise, it was actually reasonably crispy. On top of the cake, there were 5 different types of fruits with their positions fixed by custard cream, including a blackberry, hami melon ball, a dragon fruit ball, a raspberry and a blueberry on top.
In brief, my favourite cake was Blueberry Cheese Cake. Still there were many other good types to choose. Given its price and size, it should be a good option to buy cakes for colleagues/friends/family to share!
